August 2021: The food options in Cleveland Heights seemed very limited on a weekday before 5pm. Fortunately, Best Gyro's was there to save the day. I parked across the street in a free parking lot and stopped in to see their offerings. I ended up ordering the gyro and the falafel. Prepared fresh, I had no complaints about it. Pros: * Friendly staff. The chef and the owner/manager greeted me. The owner owner/manager gave me a lesson in their unique baklava recipe. * Amazing, cool ambience. The decor has a Greek diner feel to it. The round booth is a unique use of space. The outdoor space was closed for now. * Good food. The gyro was very tasty and up to par from what I would expect. The falafel was okay, but I've had better. The baklava was very sweet, textured, but overly syrupy. They recommend pairing baklava with the ice cream. * Covid cautious staff who wear masks and gloves. * Clean restaurant. Cons: * The restrooms were closed. Not just closed to patrons, but closed to everyone. This may have been due to covid, but it seemed strange. * Prices were steeper than I would have like. Not a major issue because prices everywhere have risen.

Decidedly average. Gyros for gringos. The food is fine - nothing special, but good value for your money. If you're looking for the "best" gyro in town though you're better off hitting up Simply Greek, or one of the numerous Greek festivals in the region. The liquor cooler in the restaurant with cans of High Life and nips of Hennessy was an... interesting touch. That, along with the 30 years' worth of Coca-cola branded Olympics decor hanging on the walls, is guaranteed to bring back childhood memories of weird Uncle Irv's basement.

I am really disappointed 😞. I have been here a few times before, and I always add french fries to my order (normally, really good fresh cut). But tonight, they were overcooked and a little too crispy for my liking. I couldn't even finish them. The chicken wings were cooked hard🤨. (For the cook: please dont assume everyone likes their chicken cooked hard).

I was there on Saturday, I watched this white man make our sandwiches without wearing gloves! I WATCHED HIM THE ENTIRE TIME! I got the cashiers attention and told her that I didn't want the food any longer please refund me my money. She wanted to know why I wanted my money back. I told her that I watched that white man make our food without wearing gloves. The white man said that he didn't touch our food. I told him that I watched him the entire time. I had to argue about my money. Finally he said that he would refund me my money. So he proceeds to give me a copy of my original receipt and say that my money was refunded. Then the white says to me why don't you just take the food ima just throw it out!!! I TOLD HIM THAT HE SHOULD JUST THROW IT OUT IM NOT EATING ANYTHING THAT YOU PUT YOUR FILTHY HANDS ON WITHOUT GLOVES. THIS MAN IS CRAZY TO THINK THAT I WOULD EVER EAT ANYTHING OUT OF HIS HANDS. HE DOES THIS KNOWINGLY! ISN'T THIS A HEALTH CODE VIOLATION!? MY MONEY WASN'T REFUNDED. IMA JUST TAKE THIS UP WITH MY BANK. I JUST WANTED TO SHARE THIS EXPERIENCE AND THIS NASTY WHITE WITH...

The whole ordeal fiasco took an hour and 20 minutes but yet we only have an hour and a half for lunch it was terrible service was terrible food...
