Horrendous service.
I will note they did accommodate for a larger group then expected- reserved for 10 and 16 ended up showing up- very appreciative of that especially with covid and restrictions but after that it went completely down hill.
When moving tables we were all made to close tabs out because we would have a new server at the larger table- so we did.....and ended up having the same server? Many people had soft drinks which involve free refills, after expressing to the manager how ridiculous it was to have to repay for the same drink twice she assured us it wouldnt be on the tab....the waitress still tried to charge them for the same drinks twice. We were split into two tables 12 large top 4 small, it was like the smaller table had a completely different service then us, were able to get multiple drinks, table cleared, they ordered their food at the same time as us and received their meals- ate- and table was cleared before our food at the larger table even came out. Our table was cluttered with empty drinks, sat there for probably two hours and was only able to get one drink and my food ordered. When confronting the waitress she stated they ordered way before us, which is false my fiancé was seated at the other table and we were communicating the entire time.I will say the food was good when arrived 3 We had no silverware no napkins for 80 percent of the time we wer the seated and only when the kitchen brought the food out could we get someone to bring us silverware 4.Waitress never asked us how we wanted to split the check up, which I know there was a larger group before us who had the exact same situation and complained, wouldn’t you learn from that? When I asked her to please split everyone separately she said “ only if you stay seated and if move it’s all going on one check” Excuse me??? We are not children and do not need to be reprimanded by a snarky waitress and also there was only ONE person out of their seat with a mask on who hadn’t even ordered yet. The waitress never introduced herself, seemed annoyed from the get about serving us, and clearly took that out on our service. 4.There was a 20 percent gratuity added to the bill with no notice- nowhere on the menu is it stated over a certain party gratuity is added. The manager stated this occurred when we made the reservation which was FALSE and I showed her by creating a new reservation online. Normally I tip 25% on good service, normal service I wouldn’t of cared. But the service here did not deserve 20 percent- it deserved 10-15. It was discovered gratuity was added on the drinks from the previous bill before moving tables and we were never told and a additional tip was added unknowingly. The whole process seems sneaky.the manager did take the gratuity off once we expressed the service did not render 20 percent Lastly the manager was very sweet and understanding but all she offered us was free shots? A table of 16 who was this unhappy about their service? No discount on the meal was offered and only told we would be “ taken care of “ next time we come. This was unfortunate the restaurant seems like a cool atmosphere but I will say this was probably the worst service I’ve ever had anywhere. We all come from a large family- 16 isn’t unheard of for us, unfortunately you have lost our service...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of hosting my wedding reception at Collision Bend Brewing Company, and I can't express how thrilled I am with the entire experience. My wife and I eloped and decided to have a celebration back home, and Collision Bend Brewing Company made it an unforgettable event.
The venue itself is nothing short of perfection. It exudes an intimate and cozy atmosphere that was ideal for our reception. The staff were not only accommodating but genuinely great. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and taken care of.
The drinks were flowing throughout the night, and I must say, the Blackberry Shandy quickly became my personal favorite. It's refreshing to have such a delicious and unique brew as a highlight of the evening.
For the catering, we opted for the Taco bar, and our expectations were not just met; they were surpassed. The quality of the food and the service went far beyond what we could have hoped for. Every detail was thoughtfully considered, and it was evident that Collision Bend Brewing Company takes great pride in delivering an exceptional experience for their guests.
One of the standout moments was when the general manager personally checked in on us throughout the evening. His attention to detail and dedication to ensuring our guests' satisfaction was both impressive and greatly appreciated. He even made sure that parking was readily available, which was a thoughtful touch.
Our waitress, who happened to be minoring in photography, went above and beyond. She volunteered to take pictures for us using our camera, capturing over 800 precious moments during the event. The photos turned out absolutely amazing and have become cherished memories of our special day.
And, of course, I can't forget the bartender who was always on point. The seamless service at the bar ensured that our guests were well taken care of, making for a truly enjoyable evening.
In conclusion, Collision Bend Brewing Company exceeded our expectations in every way. Our wedding reception was a beautiful, unforgettable celebration, and we owe a huge thank you to the incredible team at Collision Bend for making it all possible. If you're looking for a perfect venue with exceptional service and a memorable experience, I wholeheartedly recommend Collision Bend Brewing Company. They helped make our special day...
Read moreWhen I visited the Cleveland, Ohio area in support of my Great Beer Now blog, I had limited time to visit as many breweries as possible. I did manage to visit the big name craft breweries in the area and I knew I had time for more, but how to decide? I looked over the choices and narrowed down based on unique offerings. This led me to Collision Bend Brewing, located in the area known as Cleveland Flats.
What sets this brewpub apart from others is the views that it offers. It is situated right on the shores of the Cuyohoga River and there is an outdoor patio with open views of the river. This adds greatly to the appeal, since waterfront views always seem to make any occasion better.
Since Collision Bend is a brewpub, guests can expect to find excellent menu options as well as fine brew. The establishment specializes in California street food, with sandwiches, pizza, salads, and small plate items along with desserts. I liked what I tasted and sampled and I loved the beer even more. The Lake Erie Sunset Pale Wheat Ale is very popular with locals and one taste will make you understand why. There are other delicious beers, too, like Blu Lu Double IPA, easily a standout for me.
Collision Bend Brewing has an atmosphere that straddles the line between a nice place of dining and a casual eatery. The brick exterior gives the establishment an industrial feel while the inside has several contemporary features. The food and beer are both noteworthy and the waterfront views make this brewery stand out in the crowd. It’s a cool place for food, brew, and water views and a place you need to visit when in the...
