Couldn’t have asked for anything more. Contacted the restaurant for a reservation and informed them of my intention to propose during our dinner. The restaurant was fantastic. Everyone involved from the hostess, our waitress, The chef, the managers went way beyond expectations. We placed our drink and appetizer order. The cocktail menu was great with many options and the oysters we ordered, oh my. This is when the spectacular started to show through. Our waitress came to the table and set a seafood tower (compliments of the Chef). Included were cocktail shrimp, peal and eat, deviled eggs, smoked fish dip, oysters and octopus. This alone was a tremendous addition to the evening. It gets better Our entrees were exceptional. Lobster roll and a wonderfully prepared sea bass. Next, one of the managers arrived, congratulating us and offering a lovely board filled with desserts. Cheese cake, to die for, key lime pie, mango and passion fruit sorbet. To finish the evening, we were gifted a lovely bottle of Champaign which included a hand written note from the staff and mamagement of the restaurant thanking us for choosing them to celebrate of engagement. If that wasn’t enough, another of the managers took his time to take photos for us on their upstairs patio. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

Waterfront location, friendly and helpful team. The problem was the food. Prices set high expectations that the food didn’t deliver. Even when considering the added cost for the location. No dish was exceptionally tasty. A Poke bowl should celebrate its fresh raw fish, right?Instead, it came with the fish in a puzzling, soft-ish consistency, and drowning in a strong-flavored, heavy hoisin sauce that obscured any taste of the fish. There was much more sauce on the fish than on the other poke ingredients. Didn’t feel like there was much confidence in the freshness of the raw fish, covered in this sauce. We left more than half of the poke bowl on the table. Other dishes were okay-ish. French fries were somewhat overcooked and soggy, fried fish sandwich was burnt in some points - things you’d be okay with in your neighborhood bar. Not so cool in this place’s price range. And then a glass chipped during drinking from it. Staff thoroughly apologized but said they weren’t surprised as these glasses chip all the time. Well, that was that, half-empty plate left on table, bill paid in full, and off we go. I’m not planning to come back here any time soon.

The atmosphere was great! You must get a rooftop outdoor table to watch the sunset and all kinds of boats cruising down the Cuyahoga! The drinks were decent and worth trying. Appetisers. We had the clam and corn arancini, which was very good. One person thought it was a bit hot spicy but the rest of us where fine with combination of flavours. Oysters looked beautiful and tasty. The lobster roll isn’t meaty and flavourful we in Boston or Maine but the dressing was done right! Don’t be fooled by “split top Mediterranean bread” - still split top roll. We also enjoyed the poke bowls which should be considered before other mains. It was unfortunate that the fries had too much Old Bat seasoning as we liked the texture and taste of the fries themselves. First time that we actually left behind a whole side of fries that weren’t steak fries in diners. One person ordered peach cobbler and they said it had a lovely mix of spices in it. The wait staff was just A+. We would come back here and try other things on the menu but I think it’s very good for one visit until they change up. Then again, the atmosphere….

How can you not talk to the chef when the food is super delicious & packed with flavor . Thank you chef Julian for the amazing food. Alley Cat is a by far one of the best sea food places in the country. Crab cake was cooked to perfection, very moist inside, the salad is really good, haven’t had such good salad in long time. Lobster roll is another gem from the kitchen, fresh lobster, the seasoning is lip smacking , absolutely worth every penny of $27 . Sword fish is super juicy inside, nicely charred outside, mushroom & other veggies are nice, the puree is super nice. Temp check, paperless menu , tables separated well over 6ft, all the COVID rules have been followed. Felt very safe. Outside dining on the river side was fantastic. Last but not the least, our server , Alina is fantabulous , she is very attentive , answered all our questions, made recommendations, absolutely love the service. And a bonus, she is very beautiful even with a mask on 😍😁. Thank you to the whole team for pleasant visit during these hard times. Highly recommend .

I decided to celebrate my baby shower at Alley Cat and I am very happy I went with this venue. Venue, delivery and staff overcame all expectations - prix fixe menu options were delicious and left all guests satisfied with their selections - sunset room offers enough space for up to 45-60 people depending on seating or reception style and balcony with incredible views on water. - Alina, event organizer is a skilled professional, proactive and knowledgeable about ins and outs of preparation for the party of any size and caters to needs of each customer and their vision with patience and determination - entire staff was incredibly helpful in putting bits and pieces of party together in short period of time, starting from folding napkins and dessert set up, decorating to installing equipment for live musicians and even helping me to set up vases and flower arrangements Superb team, delicious meal and unbeatable window views. Sincerely recommend to throw your next party at Alley Cat, it will be an event to remember.
