Luxury Living ? Having nice things when you need them in a comfortable, clean, safe setting that is conveniently located
In the photos you will see: • Pictures I took on a 10-minute walk through the building not trying to find anything outstanding. All I found were great examples of the non-luxuries we live with at the Euclid Grand. “Responsible” property managers learned the life-or-death necessity of sanitation and cleanliness from covid. The photos will guide you to your own decision about the value this property management team places on your life. Starting with the dirty unwelcoming the front entrance and resident buzzer, moving onto all of the unsanitary dirty doors that cannot possibly be safe to touch (some of the dirty doors even include the leasing/management office), onto the dirt piled so deep on the garage floors that you see tire tracks and balls of hair everywhere, while taking a look at wall after neglected wall through the entire building. • A resident storage room I was told would be open after I moved in. It was never finished. I rent an off-site storage unit for an additional $159/month. • A bike storage room (a “Must-have” of mine when I was selecting a property) that was never finished and is now just another locked door. • Extremely dirty parking garage, with a regular rental rate of $190/month. Be prepared for the extra costs. 3 days of sitting in the garage requires a car wash to get the thick layer of airborne (Seriously impacts healthy breathing. It is best for your lungs to cover your mouth and nose when walking in the garage) floor dirt will cause your car to need washed (I work from home, so I make sure I plan an extra hour and $20 for a fresh car wash every time I leave the garage). If you like to keep your carpet, you will need to vacuum your carpet every time you get in your car. I have replaced my black floor mats 4 times since I moved in. There is no way to save them with as much dirt from the garage floor ground into them every time I get in my car. • A broken wall sconce outside my neighbor’s apartment that was broken in the fall of 2021. • Steps that have never been swept lead from the parking garage to the elevator. When first spoke about them having the same dirt and trash on them for a 6-month period, the cups and other large trash items were picked up but the hair balls and dirt were never touched.
• Safety- There are three CMHA properties that are less than 2,000 feet from the Euclid Grand. Those properties, which charge rent based on your income, or lack of income, do not attract the same resident pool as the Euclid Grand. However, those properties are far more secure. They are always staffed and there is no way anyone is passing the front door without leaving their ID and the resident being informed of the visit. On the other hand, at the Euclid Grand, there is no way to say when or if there will ever be security on staff here. • Convenience- When I moved-in there was a concierge staffed from approximately 7:00 am until approximately 10 or 11:00 pm seven days a week. The value of that position to the residents is incredible. The past 5 times I have needed help at a time when there was previously a concierge, there was no one available.
It has been less than enjoyable, convenient, safe, or comfortable living here. The management of this property does present more challenges than conveniences for...

Heated Parking Garage: You won't have to deal with the cold winters thanks to the heated garage connected to the apartment. Only two buildings in Cleveland offer this—The Lumen and Euclid Grand.
The Dog Park: The dog park here is tucked away from the busy downtown area, making it perfect for late-night dog walks. It feels safe and secure, which was a big reason I chose to live here.
The Gym: The gym is great! It has a yoga area (we even had a yoga instructor once) and all kinds of exercise equipment, perfect for anyone unsure of what machine does what. If you need advice, Fred at the front desk is a bodybuilder and always willing to help out.
Coffee Area: Having a coffee spot right here is super convenient, especially if you don’t have your own coffee machine. It's a little perk that keeps me going.
Friendly Staff: The staff is amazing—I really love Joey, Mandee, Jack, Fred, and Dimitri. It’s important to live where the staff is friendly and helpful. Nick, the manager, is one of the nicest people I’ve met in Cleveland, and he’s always looking for ways to improve the building. Management is very effective!
Community Gatherings: Management organizes gatherings with food and entertainment to help residents connect and make friends. Most apartments don't have events so its nice to see that EG makes an effort.
Business Center: One of my favorite spots! They have printers and are generous with paper and toner, which is great since some places charge for those.
Mail Room: The building uses the LUX system for package deliveries, where you get a code to access your package. If there’s no space in the locker, your package is safely stored in the backroom, accessible only by staff. Delivery services have figured it out over time, though Amazon sometimes messes up—but that's on the delivery person (they are always changing) whereas FedEx, UPS and UPSP have the same people and know the drill. There’s even a freezer for meal deliveries like Factor meals and HelloFresh!
My Room: I love my room’s high ceilings—they’re beautiful! Maintenance is quick to respond too. Whenever I’ve put in a request, it’s been handled within a day or two, unless a part needed to be ordered or it was something big like fixing the dryer, but they still handled it quickly.
Convenient Location: Henin’s is right across the street, so I can grab missing ingredients even in my pajamas—no need to drive to Walmart! CVS is also across the street. There are so many restaurants within walking distance: Goma (Japanese), Saigon (Vietnamese), Centro at the 9, plus fun bars, Chipotle, Taco Bell, 216 Pizza, Domino’s, Starbucks, Dunkin’ Donuts, and three Indian restaurants (I love Bombay Chaat). FedEx and USPS are also just a short walk away.
Money well spent here, it was worth it! I’m really going to miss this place when I leave Cleveland. It makes me sad just...
Read moreDon’t ever live here even for a single month. Here are the reasons why:
I lived here for about 15 months and moved out March 2024. Today I received an email said my eRenter policy get automatically renewed. It’s been already more than half a year after I moved out and it’s still a mess. I have to call the company and the apartment and guess what, no one in the leasing office ever picked up the phone, just like usual. What’s more important, NO ONE ever told me I need to cancel the eRenter policy myself. None of the apartment I lived before ask the renter to cancel their policy. Again, no one ever told me I need to return the AT&T router myself (it was built in in the apartment and was our only option for internet. Previous apartment that I leave that has their collaborating internet company, I was never asked to cancel internet myself). I realize this after a few days after I moved out when I made a call to atnt company to try to cancel my account. They ask me to reach out to apartment for the router returned. So I called the apartment and guess what, after just a few days after my move-out, the atnt router in my apartment was GONE according to leasing people. I have to purchase the router. The parking was also automatically charged on my card after I moved out. I realized this about a month after my move out. No mentioning the parking was ridiculously expensive. So just in summary, they only care about whether you returned the apartment key, just like the hotel, and every other things you have to do it yourself, which means to need to make millions calls. The maintenance was terrible when I lived here. The washer and dryer never work and I submitted many requests. Sometimes the request was marked as complete but no one ever touched the machine!!! I was left exactly the same before I left home. I end up give a 100 dollar tip for them to fix the machine and they finally did something, which is just swapping machine from other apartment unit to mine. The dryer was a size smaller than my washer and of course never work neither. It was this time I divided to move out no matter at what cause.
So here is my question: is Euclid grand really “luxury” living apartments? I have to admit there are still good, friendly people around, but what you paid is nothing worth its price. I’ve never had this many issues with any of the luxury apartments that I lived in the city. Really, think twice before you decided...
