A couple months ago, I would have given RISE Cleveland four stars for good sales, a nice selection of products, and mostly friendly, informative employees. RISE was my go-to place, though I often wished it were an Ohio-owned company.
Then RISE messed up my preorder twice in a row due to errors with their computer system, and management didn’t do anything to make it up to me.
The first time they erred, they applied a 20% discount that should have been a 30% discount. I had driven 30 minutes back to my house, noticed the error on the receipt, and had to turn around and go back downtown to get $17 dollars refunded (my mistake, in part, for not checking the receipt on point of sale). I was willing to let this error go, especially since the pharmacist tried to make it up to me by saying he would restock a Select tincture that I use that had recently fallen off their menu. However, despite me keeping an eye out for it on the website, that particular tincture never showed up again so he must have forgotten to complete the task.
Yesterday, I had done a preorder that came to $220, withdrew that exact amount of cash, drove downtown, and found the order had climbed to around $260. When I showed the employee the preorder price from their website on my phone, she said, “Yes, that was an error in our computer system.”
When I asked to see the manager/pharmacist, showed her my preorder amount, and explained this was the second time in a row they made an error with my order, she seemed annoyed.
I decided to just walk rather than support a company that can’t get its computer system together, especially when it’s a pay-by-cash system. I shouldn’t have to rearrange my preorder when I get to the store and buy X amount of whatever to get the sale price that the website originally gave to me. Also, I don’t want to use their ATM and incur charges from my bank; I never use those things because I plan ahead. I expected that somehow RISE would want to make the second error up to me, perhaps by honoring the price of the preorder amount, but I got nothing. I guess I can’t expect too much from a chain that is owned by an out-of-state company. I’ll be taking my frequent...
Read moreIt is obviously a changing situation, so a little update . Medical marijuana card holders get a lot more opportunities for discounts. If you are indigent and / or a veteran You can stack your discounts. This is AMAZING 👏 🤩 🙌. 35-45 percent off. Hands down a no-brainer.
August 2024 ,after prohibition 🚫 ✨️. Rise is a real asset to the people who hold their medical marijuana cards. Now serving the whole community of people who are 21 years old and older. Those people are going to understand that Ohio finally 🙌 👏 got something right.
What is a concern, hopefully temporary 😅 is that medical marijuana card holders who are either indigent or a veteran will NOT receive the same discount as they would be given for medical marijuana needs. Recreational marijuana is NOT given the discount 🙄 😒 😑 😐 😕 at Rise. Other dispensaries are giving up the discount for recreational purposes as long as you have a CURRENT marijuana card. This NEEDS TO HAPPEN IN THE RISE DISPENSARY STORES. The discount is a lot more than just a discount. It is a part of a budget that is not able to fluctuate, so there's that. It is also a very nice 👍 thank you to the people who have served. Honestly, it really is ,I am very grateful 🙏 🥲. I have reviewed them before, and after several years, I am still happy with the medication and the people who work there. Love crystal! I am the happiest person when I have gotten my medical marijuana needs taken care of. Without worrying about the quality and then knowing that my medical marijuana is COMPLETELY SAFE. The parking lot is expanded for the Rise customer, and for downtown Cleveland, it is amazing 👏. Even though recreational marijuana is coming up, I am going to stay with being qualified medically. I personally feel that I have this because I have made a choice for medical marijuana needs instead of getting the pills 💊 for my needs. It is actually the one choice you have that is substantial in your medical journey. AND they open at 7am. Easy...
Read moreRise Cleveland is a rip off!!! Do not go there they will steal your money. I was there on September 10th and I selected my product on the touch screen (prices was too high by the way). I proceeded to the check out counter and wanted to use my debit card to purchase. A guy that works there that's about 6'2 with long dred locs and glasses proceeded to swipe my card and he advised me of the $2 upcharge that Rise charges for using their debit POS. I agreed to the charge even though I was a little turned off by how much they charge for 2.83g. The clerk ran my card and after about two minutes of nothing happening the system timed out. The clerk advised me that the charge didn't go through but I showed him on my banking app that it did. He called his manager up and the manager stated that since it's showing pending they can't refund. The manager advised me to try another card which I did. That card went through so I took my product and followed the managers advise of allowing the pending charge to fall off and if it doesn't then to come back and I can get a refund. So I waited two days for the charge to post to my account. Once it posted I went back to Rise and at this point I'm speaking to a different manager (Nicole) and she acted like she had no idea what I was speaking about. I showed her proof on my phone, I asked her to confirm with the previous clerk who was there that day and again nothing. She advise she had to get in contact with corporate and that it will take quite some time to get my money back if they will do it It is now September 24th and I have yet to see any of my refund even though I emailed in copies of statements. DO NOT SHOP WITH RISE THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF AND THEN PRETEND THAT THEY'VE DONE...
