I stayed at the hotel very recently for a wedding. I was thoroughly impressed with the entire stay.
The hotel is part of The Arcade- a beautiful old structure.
Parking - if you aren't expecting it, this can likely be a downside to the hotel and it's something you need to plan and account for on top of your nightly costs. The hotel does NOT have free self parking. Being a hotel in the busy downtown area, that is understandable. The hotel does offer valet service, but it is pretty costly. It is $39/night. I opted to self park at the parking garage right next door to the hotel. (It's called 200 Public Square Garage 320 W Superior Ave). The garage is not associated with the hotel but is the closest garage. I imagine the costs can fluctuate depending upon day of the week, times, special events etc. I pulled into the garage on Friday around 1pm and left Sunday morning. I paid $32 total for that time period.
The hotel is very nice. Seeing the Arcade itself is amazing. Being there for a wedding, I had the opportunity to see several different rooms. My room was in the 4th floor right in the Arcade. Each room on the Arcade has windows into the Arcade and then windows to the outside (at least all of the rooms I went into.) My room had a nice view of the public library across the street. There are rooms on higher floors that aren't on the Arcade but I didn't get to visit any of those. There are some off of the Arcade that are a bit smaller I did see so I think it just all depends on what you reserve and what they give you. My room was pretty big. You walk into a little desk area, there's a closet with a safe and all of that good stuff, then the beds (I didn't need a double bed but that was all they had when I booked) then a little living room type area with a couch and chair, and a decent bathroom. Huge windows looking out into the city. I will say, the double beds aren't your normal size. I've been to a lot of hotels and when you get a double bed, it's normally at least a queen for both. These beds are maybe a full size. So if you're planning to double up in the beds, that's something to account for. Like I said, I was by myself so I didn't care. I was comfortable.
Something to take into account- this is a very popular venue and building. The Arcade is open to the public when there isn't an event happening so people are walking through downstairs. (Security is not a concern though up in the hotel. You cannot go any higher than the lobby in the elevators without a room key and the stairs are blocked on the lobby level as well. I was there as part of a wedding on Saturday night. I was asked if I had any concerns being on the Arcade Friday night as there was a wedding that night as well. I said I didn't mind because we wouldn't be in the hotel most of the evening but I can tell you when there is a wedding in the venue, it echoes pretty loudly throughout so be prepared. The hotel is good about informing you at check in and they have options up in the tower if you don't want to be close.
There is a nice coffee shop on the first floor by the front door, there are multiple restaurants in the Arcade, and there are tons of places within a few blocks walking distance in all directions. Great location.
Finally I just want to say that every single employee I spoke to was great. The people at the front desk any time I was there were friendly, the housekeeping staff was really friendly (they would walk by and introduce themselves and tell you to let them know if they could do anything for you at any time) the event staff during the wedding who worked for the venue were really amazing. Everyone was great from my perspective.

Read moreEXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED- Do not recommend and please save your money this is not up to the standards they market for!
We stayed two nights- business and pleasure as well- upon arrival you have Valet which is $50 each day (so for us $100) the valet nor was a there a bell hop or a cart provided to us for our luggage or any assistance with getting our bags out of the car at all- we then proceeded to check in and there was a wedding going on so several levels were blocked off and no assistance whatsoever; it was not even offered or mentioned- I’m not sure if the event is why the overall service was awful for this price point (about $900 for the 2nights with a city room view which is mostly of the top of buildings not what we expected as well but I’ll get to the room in a minute). We checked in and the girl was friendly yet provided us with direction to get to another tower and our room- we walked around as the directions were not clear so we are walking around with luggage for at least 20minutes trying to figure out where to go- I finally called the front desk back instead of walking all over again (remember there is a wedding going on so you can’t access certain areas) and requested for someone to meet us and show us! A girl did come down and I expressed my frustration so far and how I wasnt pleased at all by the experience so far- she did apologize and say they should of offered us a cart or someone to help us or show us the proper areas especially due to the event- we finally get up to the room and the first thing we do is head towards the windows to look at our “beautiful city view” which is some string lights across the way but mostly the top part of the surrounding buildings (mind you $900 for 2days and no notice above an event going on and perhaps limited services available) then there was food not cleaned up on the window sill so no one took the time to properly inspect the room- again for this price and status of this hotel was unbelievable to me. I called down they offered to move us and send up cleaning yet I did decline as we didn’t want to lug everything all over again and wanted to relax! They ended up giving me a credit for these inconveniences and such to their hotel restaurant and lounge- however we weren’t even able to dine in the restaurant part due to the event! Which again wasn’t told to us so the lounge area has extremely limited seating and a menu that wasn’t up to expectations or typical standards in my opinion either- we ended up ordering breakfast the next day room service in order to use the credit, which wasn’t brought on a cart but a takeout bag and then I called to ask if I could put the plates and paper plates/ bowls and plastic silverware outside the room due to again room service not being what I would consider standards are for an “upscale/historical” hotel- I can’t even express the disappointment and frustration- I wouldn’t mind so much or feel so disappointed if they didn’t market and charge for these types of standards and services and then not deliver on them at all! I will never recommend this place to my clients nor family, nor will I stay again- not worth it and there are plenty of other options in this area that I’m sure are providing what they are actually charging you for! Huge disappointment and I have to save spending that kind of money (in my opinion) for a special weekend and business purposes is ridiculous- I feel scammed and taken advantage of- I hope they realize the reputation is based on all customers experiences not just a...

Firstly, let me begin by stating that I've traveled for over 38 years and I have never experience the confusion that I've experienced at your Hyatt Cleveland Arcade property. In addition, I've never complained about a property in those 38 years either.
On Friday, May 24, 2024 I arrived at your Cleveland property around 8am to take care of the payments for the three rooms that I reserved. My first reservation was charged twice (using my debit card), which the two staff members (Liz and Calvin) both stated that I was only charged once at which time I pulled up my bank statements to reflect the double charge. Several hours later, after I missed my daughter's functions *( she was getting married the following day), I received a call from Calvin around 4pm that the financial manager saw the double charges. Keep in mind I was at the front desk for hours.
I asked several times to speak with the GM, but I was told he was in a meeting, which I do not believe considering this issue begin at 8am. In addition, I was appalled that your parking was $48 per day ( this isn't NYC or LA). Once I was in the room there was hair in the tub, the hallway was extremely hot.
The following day, the day of my daughter's wedding, I was contacted by Calvin that the 3rd suite, he need authorization again eventhough it showed on my cc the day prior. At the time , I was at my daughter's suite getting her ready for the big day so I had to leave again to handle this mess again. After running around in your hot hotel and the stress from the last two days, it trigger a migraine. By the following day, with a migraine asking for a late check out, Calvin decided to approached my ex husband for payment of the 3rd suite eventhough they had cc on file and Liz and Calvin were both awared that I was paying cash and debit card and I was extremely ill. I must say Liz and Calvin were very professional and I'm not sure if it was your computer system or lack of training because it took a half hour to check out.
I have one child, and I missed most of the events due to cc card, debit card being doubled charged, running around to resolve the hotel mistakes.
You would think after what I went through, the manager would offer something comp, but that wasn't an option either. At one point, I'm ready to call every news media in Cleveland to forewarned the outrageous mistakes that I had endured.
I can reassure you I will never stay at another Hyatt property even though I had many pleasant experiences with Hyatt. I'm not sure if this a new way of conducting business, but I will not take the chance again. I'm was embarrassed and more importantly, I lost time with my daughter that I will never get back. Also, I see I was overcharge $37 too. The least you can do is comp a room! I paid $2300 , and I must say, it was the biggest waste of money I ever spent. Also, my daughter had a vip suite and the fridge was empty! unheard of !
Days later. I just checked my bank statements and once again Hyatt pulled money out of my account for a room that was paid, which is illegal!! I suggest you rectified this issue immediately or my attorney will be contacti Hyatt corpirate directly. I will contact every media platform and let everyone to boycott...
