They may have great Iraqi food but to the local taste I would say that I liked just Flafel and tea that they make. The service is ridiculously awful. I asked the waitress about the speciality of the place she said that she didn't know. Even when I needed someone to order something else there was no one around I waited for almost 20 minutes then I went to the kitchen and ordered food there. After that they served food they didn't have any utensils and had to wait another 15 minutes for someone to show up we were calling them then after that I had to go to the kitchen to ask for utensils. In the end I wanted the bill so that we can pay and leave there was a person sitting in the counter seat we were calling him again and again but he was so buzy with his phone that he didn't reply at all. After a while when some other Coustmers who were dining there too went to him and shook him so that he can reply. The food we had was not up to the mark but they priced it very high. They don't give any paper receipt but they can send a text or email receipt on that receipt at some places it was written in Arabic so I didn't even understand what I paid for and the service charge was almost 8 dollars we at food for almost 40 bucks but the total bill they made was almost $58. By adding custom items and the ridiculous amount of service charge even being their service so poor. I just go to that place now when we don't have any other place to go. In the end I would just say one thing. This place has the...
Read moreThe only thing good about this place is their Falafel. Apart from that, bad service is a major duh! I have been to this place 2-3 times and everytime, we face an issue with the staff. It is not really responsive and also seems to be really lazy and inactive. Most of the times, you won't find anyone at the counter. Also, the food here is not good. If you want some good falafel, its a good place, but anything else is just not worth it. After waiting for nearly 15-20 minutes, what we have on our plate is just disappointing! The sweets are prepared and kept for days, making it clear that hygiene is not important for the Omar Grill people. The staff is lame, and doesn't really know how to communicate with the customers. The reciept is printed in Arabic, making it difficult for all non-arabs to know what they are paying for. We had to pay some 10 dollars for something that we don't know if we ordered or not. In addition to this, the tax was 3 dollars and the service fee was 8 dollars! There was not a single person to attend the customers in a good manner and still we had to pay 11 dollars for that! (Luckily this was written in English and not Arabic). We also ordered a bottle of water, which was filled with stale, stinking water. I won't recommend going...
Read moreIf I could give a negative star review I would. We were so bummed to see Cedarland Express go but hopeful when Sultan Grill opened with a similar menu. (Sultan grill was the name before they changed it to Omar grill) That is until we went there. Literally everything you loved about Cedarland is the opposite here. It takes forever to get your food and quite honestly it greatly lacks the middle eastern authenticity that Cedarland had. The chicken shawarma is literally served on a tortilla!!! Instead of a pita!!! Yet, you get pita with the (horrible) hummas....so why hold out on a shawarma? Also, there is no "shawarma" sauce or literally anything else. One of my coworkers just ordered one an hour ago and got (only) chicken wrapped in a tortilla!!! Wow!! This place doesn't even look like a legit business anymore quite honestly....kinda looks like a front for something else barely posing as a cafe and grill! It's kind of become a joke at this point for people at the office to try and rate how horrible it was. Luckily we have plenty of other middle eastern cuisine options nearby....but still a disappoint to see what used to be a great dependable place in Cedarland...
