There’s nothing quite like the energy at Progressive Field, home of the Cleveland Guardians! This retro-modern gem, nestled right in downtown, stands out with its unique tooth‑brush light towers, asymmetrical fence heights, and a backdrop of the Cleveland skyline that makes every seat feel special .
Why it’s awesome: • Classic ballpark vibes meet modern comfort. Updated in the 2010s with “districts” in the main concourse—including the fan-favorite Corner Bar and craft-beer stalls—there’s a lively spot for every mood . • Local food & drink galore. Whether you’re craving kettle corn, ballpark eats, or a pint on tap, Progressive has you covered—with lots of local flavor to boot . • Standing Room fun. Snag a Terrace Garden or Corner Bar pass, and you’ll mingle with other fans while cheering from open-air drink rails—it’s social, casual, and downright fun . • Family-friendly features. From the Kids Clubhouse with crafts and batting cages to a mini ballfield, it’s a hit for kids (and charming for parents) .
Hits & quirks: • The upper decks feel a bit tight—some fans mention less legroom and limited comforts like cup holders . • A touch of nostalgia lingers: those old container structures in right field are currently being replaced with beer gardens and gathering spaces . • The park has retained its historic charm, from statues of baseball legends to plaques in Heritage Park—great for soaking in Guardians lore .
Fan testimony: A visiting Twins fan raved:
“It’s a great accessible park… they’ve done a great job of keeping it updated.”
Another Redditor added:
“NGL I just really love the idea of hitting baseballs into flower boxes.”
What’s new (and coming): • The ongoing “Progressive Field Reimagined” project introduces a brand-new Terrace Garden, enhanced open-air patios, and a dedicated beer-garden District along Carnegie and Ontario—set to debut gradually through 2025 . • Expect more drink rails and Orb seating areas where you can chat, stretch, and fan-conscious mingle .
Bottom line: Fun, vibrant, and deeply connected to Cleveland—Progressive Field is more than a ballpark, it’s a destination. Whether you’re a die-hard baseball fan or just looking for a spirited night out, the Guardians deliver an experience packed with nostalgia, flavor, and lively moments. Just bring your wallet (it’s cash‑less), your appetite, and your cheers—this place makes every game feel like a hometown celebration! ⚾
My Must Do? get there earlier and tour the Hall of Fame beyond centre field. Take in all of the history. sample local craft beers at one of several vendors around the park. take a walk up to the 500 level and hit up the corner bars and enjoy some amazing views...
Read moreI thought it was a very nice park, great views from many areas. The park itself seemed very clean. Concession lines were either small or fast from what I saw. Mobile ordering is available at many places, which helps reduce wait times and missing game action. Happy Dogs outside Section 159 is where you can find the unique hotdog choices that people have shared.
Outside of Gate C, you have various player statues, and as you enter, there is a Jim Thome statue in the Center Field concourse. Speaking of, walk to your right and along the gates past Heritage Park in order to find the Jim Thome longest homerun plaque at 511 ft.
To your immediate right in the Center Field concourse is Heritage Park, which has several plaques and statues remembering Cleveland's baseball history. Also to your left of Heritage Park are the bullpens. You can get a bird's-eye view of the players warming up.
As a bonus before the game, stop by League Park, which is roughly 3 miles away (6601 Lexington). This was the original home to Cleveland baseball, location of the 1920 World Series, where Babe Ruth hit his 500th homerun & also many more historical moments in baseball. You can enjoy the park view for free, but there is a $10 charge if you want to explore their museum.
For the game, we parked just off St. Clair, about half a mile from the stadium. Since it was Sunday, there was no charge for metered parking. If you don't mind a little walking, this is ideal, especially since prices near the stadium were $50. This location worked great for us as we were able to make a short walk over to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, and then afterwards, it was about a mile walk up to the stadium.
All in all, it was great weather, great game, and a fun experience. I hope you also enjoy your trip to Progressive Field,...
Read moreI've enjoyed many games over the years at progressive stadium...
Stadium is incredibly nice, clean, modern and up to date. Navigation to seats, within the stadium, and outside is simplistic and well designed for doing so. Easy getting to and from any location within.
There really isn't a bad seat in the entire stadium. I've sat low, high, from all angles, including the bleacher seats and they're all well worth the priced paid and view. I personally, enjoy higher up, seeing the entire field, and nothing quite beats the view of the Cleveland Skyline. Almost looks like a cut out, breathtaking and wonderful to see as you watch the game below.
Disappointed that they'd taken the All You Can Eat seats up top away as it was an awesome view and you couldn't beat the price. Concession stands are pricey, certainly not worth what you pay for essentially anything, though it tends to be expected at stadium's in general, I've definitely been to much better, when it comes to price of refreshments.
Parking isn't horrendous in terms of close proximity but it's typically $25+, in most areas. Prior to the casino being built, access to cheaper parking was much easier.
Games are always entertaining with lots going on in and around the stadium. Would recommend firework display nights, as they're always awesome. Lots of police and security presence, never seen or had any major issues as many times as I've went, it's a safe and fun environment for the entire family.
Ultimately, it could be a little more cost friendly when it comes to parking and refreshments, but, the stadium itself is an awesome place to catch a baseball game. ⚾️ Great memories here with my family and can't wait...
