I've been here now twice. Difference between his shelter and norma hurr, or any other woman's shelter... Normal hur is the exact same as this, but there's curfew. And you have 3/4 bud bunny's in ur room...and showers and bathroom are not inside the room like northpoint is. Idk the qualifications to get it, I know if ur homeless...you just request it on the intake line when you call for emergency shelter...they might place you somewhere else, but they'll call you when there is a space for you at northpoint... I rate northpoint 5 stars...there has been crime around here...gun shots in front of the building, one time. They are on top of people walking in with any weapons, there's a metal detector. Staff is friendly, Rooms are clean, And they help out...bus passes, case manager will pull you aside once a week, to see how it's going..and what needs to happened where they can help, privacy, no curfew...free laundry. Best shelter I've...

They can't help if they're no aware of the situation. 4/5 because of the roaches, but still...
Read moreGreat place for those employed and seeking to get housing. Geared to the more independent type, North Point is flexible to your work schedule. I roomed with one other individual (whom i barely saw) and the dorm comes with your personal key that only you and your other roommate has access to. Space is significantly larger then most public shelter facilities and there is no curfew, allowing clients who work flexible schedules to successfully adjust. As with any new place you move into, cleaning needs to be done but for the most part, it is one of the better public shelters in the city...
