There are some general complaints such as limited hours, towels never being available, and other cleanliness issues. However, my main reason for this one star review is the cancellation policy. I moved into a new apartment with a gym, so I no longer needed this membership.
I could not find information about this anywhere o so I wanted to share the information here: Cancellations are only accepted in person: I tried calling to cancel but was rejected and told I needed to come in person. The hours are limited, so I couldn't come in until the start of the next month. Cancellations require a 30 day notice: When I was finally able to cancel in person, I was told that I had to commit to the next month due to this 30 day policy and billing renews on the first of every month. Now I'm stuck with paying for 2 extra months that I will not really use.
I just wanted to write this warning for those looking to sign up or cancel. Make sure you do it far in advance. To the Y: you know how to make this wrong right, otherwise I'll contact my bank about blocking...

My passion is dance/ballet, and I needed that creative outlet during a very stressful time. This YMCA was only a few miles down the road from where we were staying, and I was able to visit on multiple occasions as a guest. I loved the open studio I found by the stairs, with a barre and mirror and lots of space to dance and give myself a ballet barre. The locker room was impressively clean and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. I only visited on Sundays when it was quiet so I can't speak to the parking but I had no trouble parking nearby on that day. Read moreIf I could give a lower rating i absolutely would, First the Extreme lack of interest to be even remotely helpful from the front desk never fails to amaze me. Have never seen people so completely put out to have to do any aspect of their "job" including I guess be trained on any of the actual rules and regulations of how the billing process works which is no doubt to take as much money as possible before you see the worms in the showers, i tried for months to cancel my membership and had no luck on it actually canceling just to have them continue to take money from me, and charge me late fees for months after I "requested" my membership to be canceled. I will continue to call and leave reviews everyday until some one willing to do their job and issue a refund is willing...
