United States Postal Service — Local services in Cody

Worst post office I've ever been to. If you have something delivered via a service other than USPS, don't bother going to the post office on the same day to pick it up. It'll just sit on their dock; they won't even touch it.

I've also had things sent to my PO box that were small enough to fit in my PO box, yet they decided to put a slip in my box so that I had to stand in line and wait to get a package...that was small enough to fit in my box.

I also had one of the workers see that my tracking number was a UPS tracking number and said that I needed to go to the UPS store, despite the fact that it was delivered to my PO box at the post office (I didn't listen to him, obviously).

The bottom line is that a lot of the employees are either lazy or just downright incompetent. Use the local UPS...

We live out in the county and I would say only 25% of the time they actually deliver packages. When we order something online we get notifications from the store that delivery couldn't happen. We call in and they say they couldn't load the stuff into the mail vehicle and we have to go into the post office to pick it up, that is well over an hour of driving to and from town. I have never heard of the USPS anywhere that I have lived not delivering packages because they can't fit them, that is literally the service. Completely useless and if we could choose FedEx or UPS for delivery we absolutely would. It is extremely poor service here from both the people in the office and...

I keep getting mail that is addressed to someone else in my cul-de-sac. Since the mailbox does not have addresses on it I have to search for that house and personally deliver it to them, rather than having it go all the way back to Casper. But the final straw was 2 days ago I got someone else’s newspaper in my mailbox whose address is on a completely different street. I couldn’t fit it in the slot to go back to postman, so I delivered it to that address. The lady who answered said she’s been having same problem. That we have a new post man. Can someone fix this...
