It is so helpful to be in a small group with a trainer. The trainers at PUSH Fitness are attentive and exceptional. There are constant gentle reminders regarding form - so essential in preventing injury and ensuring good results. I have been plagued by injuries when attempting a new fitness regimen - but at PUSH I have successfully increased strength and fitness level with no injuries (at PUSH - now to learn to not over do it when gardening). They also were very encouraging - pushing for one more (good form) rep - or if they saw the lift was too easy - would encourage to increase weight - bringing you the new weight. When I did get injured while gardening, the trainers worked with me to modify my routine to accommodate, then rehabilitate the injury ( in conjunction with my doctors recommendations).
My fellow lifters span the spectrum of age and ability - and everyone so far has been very friendly.
Having a fixed day and time is very helpful in keeping me on track, but the app easily allows for changes in the schedule as needed.

Push 40 Fitness has a unique, modern style that energizes you as soon as you walk in. It's been several years since I have been in a gym so I was a bit apprehensive. As the class began, Dan (the owner) explained how everything you do will push you to your personal limit. For me, that sounded a bit nerve-wracking because of the limits I have due to arthritis. As I progressed through the workout, I began to see what he was talking about. All of the stations allowed me to push myself to do my best, without ever feeling like I wasn’t capable of completing the exercise. My coach was Sarah and she was great! She made me feel re-energized at each station without pushing me too hard. The intervals changed quickly and the upbeat music made the 40 minutes fly by. I've been going to the small group personal training sessions for about 2 years now and I feel the strongest I have ever been. We started out by discussing what I wanted to focus on and Dan put together a work out for me, completely personalized. We keep an eye on my range of motion/strength, we discuss the exercises regularly, and he'll adjust things as we go if we need to. It's a great feeling to be able to do things I couldn't even do when I was in highschool.
