Lula's Fashion and Alterations — Local services in Collierville

My daughter was "fitted" for a dress for an upcoming ball 8 months ago. I specifically advised Lula to order a size or a size and a half up to accomodate my daughter's height. Altering the dress wouldn't be a problem just as long as it's long enough. When the dress came back, my daughter looked like she was about to go pick some cotton in that dress. It was too little and too short. The dress was supposed to be floor length but came right under her knees.

I asked Lula was communication an issue when I told her to order a size or two up to accomodate for length. Lula then proceeds to tell me that she switched my daughter's dress with someone else's dress who had dropped out of the ball. REALLY?! Why would you switch her dress for someone else's? Needless to say the dress was extremley too big (I had no problem because it could be altered) but my issue with Lula is the dress was unfinished! The seams were taken out on both sides and the top arm part of the dress was taken apart as well.

The store was packed with other parents who were pissed at her about their daughter's dresses. After I asked her why the dress was unfinished. Lula said that the dress was switched because another person dropped out. I asked Lula was she going to repair and alter the dress free of charge since the dress does not belong to my daughter in the first place AND it was unfinished.This so called "business owner" tells me that she is going to charge me for the alterations. REALLY LULA?! Needless to say I was pissed and I'm still pissed about it. Lula had the nerve to get an attitude and get loud with me after I disputed her attempt to charge me for an unfinished dress that did not belong to my daughter. I highly advise to NOT patronizie Lula's Boutique! The worst product! The worst customer service! Collierville...

Dealing with Lula was the worst decision our wedding party ever made. She measured us all for our dresses and suits and still they came back not fitting us. She also went up on her pricing and didn’t notify us until we were there to pick up our items. She also totally ruined the grooms suits. They all paid for new suits to be ordered of which where not new when they picked them up. Some missing jackets and all not hemmed to the measurements she took. Only to find out they had to pay extra to have them hemmed. What was the purpose of measuring them if when they got the product they still wasn’t correct. Most of the suits were dirty inside and out. Which means they were not new!! We came to find out she bought them second hand from a tuxedo rental company near by but charged them new suit prices. Our dresses and suits were not back when she told us they would be. Her only explanation was she ordered them from over seas somewhere. They all came back within one day of the wedding. She was rude through this entire experience. Day one when the bride and myself went to look at her shop, when she said y’all gone look and sat down not offering to help, we should’ve ran for the door then. Not to mention the 190.00 dresses she sold us retails for 110.00!!!! 🤬🤬🤬🤬 I wouldn’t send an ounce of business her way. N throughout the entire process, she has yet to even apologize. Oh I almost forgot, she also ordered the men shoes the wrong sizes. If the rental place didn’t have the size they asked for without hesitation she went with what we size the had. Not even calling and asking if it was okay. We had the ring bearer in a mans suit size with shoes three sizes too big. I tried to support for my bestfriends wedding Lulas Alterations-fashion she was rude and disrespectful not only to me but to my mother as well. I ordered my dress in January she ordered the wrong size when she measured me then ended up getting a dress she found in her shop and the dress was supposed to be ready on a Wednesday. She told me to come in and she would alter it and have it done the Wednesday of the week of the wedding. I called her and told her that day I would be there at 4:30pm to pick up my dress, she proceeded to say the dress wasn’t done and she didn’t know when it would be done. I was so upset my mom called her and told her she would pick it up the next day because I had to be at the rehearsal dinner, she told my mom she couldn’t give her a time and was so rude and disrespectful. She had my mom waiting all day until 11:30pm and said the dress was ready and would meet her. Since I was already out I call her and said I would meet her she then told me in the rudest tone well I’m not meeting you right now you will have to wait. I argued the wedding was tommorow and it was already midnight. My friend saw I was so upset she drove me to get my dress and it was almost 1am, once I tried on the dress she made me pay $50 for alterations after being rude, not having it ready until the night before the wedding and the hem was horrible we had to fix it the day of the wedding.
