Serra Center — Local services in Colma

In August on a Sat morning I met a friend in the parking lot by the sizzler. Target was not open so she got in my truck leaving her car in the parking lot and we went to Starbucks got our coffee then drove back to the parking lot by blackbear dinner.

We had breakfast, then went shopping at Target and when we came out her car was gone.

We came to find out a security officer in a unmark car had seen my friend get in my truck and called a tow company to tow my friends car saying we had left the car on the property.

The rules posted say anything left for over 4 hours can be towed, We were not gone from her vehicle for 4 hours but the security guard took a picture of her getting in my truck leaving her car in the parking lot and then had her car towed It cost $600 to get her car out of the tow yard and to this day I have never seen a marked security vehicle for the property nor can I find the security company or a contact person to complain that the vehicle was towed...

If you know the area pretty well and you have your shopping list or just have to pick up an item or two you need, keep in mind its starting to look like almost how traffic use to be a year ago. Be patient as cars are heading to car dealerships expanding their lots Ford and Chevrolet anservice & repairs line seems to busy with the target colma store and the new panda express you see other cars trying to avoid that separate drive thru window line which seems to share both driveway entrance to 5 or 6 restaurants sharing the same lot can be a little hectic for some drivers trying to get by. I'm use to this.just be patient and alert ,sorry couldn't snap photos while driving...maybe...

Target is the main draw for most folks but there are a number of great places here including House of Bagels. Parking is sometimes busy but you can always find a spot. There are a fair amount of spots with disabled access - but also they are often filled up. Bevmo, Michael's, Target, House of Bagels - and various food, drink, and coffee options - including Philz.
