Locked In Escapes — Attraction in Colorado Springs

Amazing rooms!! My husband and I did 2 rooms back to back by ourselves and 2 rooms back to back with friends. These rooms are addicting. My husband and I booked one. Didn't win and we're so hyped we immediately did another. We went back that weekend and completed that one to immediately do another as well. So I have done all four rooms. Each room is fun and unique. I highly recommend. The only reason I didn't get 5 stars was there was a few hiccups. In darkness falls, some of the wires might be crossed. A magnetic lock opened when it wasn't supposed to and the one that was supposed to opened randomly. That was darkness falls. In the royalty room there is sticker letters on the table and and on the letters had been torn so a foot of a letter was missing and it made it look like a completely different letter. We couldn't solve that puzzle, it wasn't making sense. We had to get a clue to solve it, it still didn't work. Then the woman just gave us the answer and that's how we figured out that the foot of letter was missing. But we spent over 20 mins on that clue alone and it was quite fruatfrustr. The game master should have been able to listen and hear that all but 2 letter was correct in the word we we're getting. I've been at tother escape places and when they watch you get the clue right but it doesn't work they will tell you to try it again, make sure it's lined up corrwctly, or I have seen them come in so it would have been nice if she would have told us sooner. That was the same game master who was quite defensive and maybe a tad argumentive when I had mentioned that we had seen some of the props from the royalty room at another escape place. Ok, so Rock Star is extremely difficult. I still think a difficult escape room can be satisfying even in defeat. This room was a bit chaotic with too many clues that lead to answers to puzzles that were not solvable until later in the game. Most rooms you figure out a “flow” in the game. This was not one of those escape rooms. The room was also not properly staged and clues that had to be fixed(but not fixed properly?) were sent out of the room and then clues that we had to skip really sidetracked us. This created a very unsatisfied feeling and again lack of “flow”. It is easy to get bottlenecked in this room. A well designed room allows the escapees to focus on solving the puzzles. It was difficult at times to know what puzzle you were supposed to solve. Uggh…this room could be great, but needs to be streamlined in order to create a flow while maintaining the difficulty level. Currently, this room is heavily reliant on the cluemaster feeding you clues. Even with clues, only 1 in 10 get out successfully(according to our cluemaster). Not sure that is a sign of a good escape room. We are very experienced with escape rooms and solving puzzles. We absolutely love them, but spent the majority of the time in this game room as well as several hours afterwards being frustrated and...

I would give this place 10 stars if I could. The rooms were amazing and unique. We did two of them and although we liked them both, our favorite out of the two was Darkness Falls. They had very imaginative puzzles and their room design was super immersive.

What really put them over the top though, was their customer service. The incredible group of people who work here really deserve recognition for all of their awesomeness! Thank you Jason for being a 5 star game master and giving us help when needed, you helped us escape and made our experience with your wonderful personality. You were so sweet and helpful. And Lorien, THANK YOU for being accomodating of the fact that we're on vacation, & going above and beyond with everything you did for us... I hope you know how much we truly appreciate and value all of your help. Hope you liked your jalapeño poppers! Lol. Can't wait to visit again next time we come to Colorado (maybe even before we leave if we have time)!
