SummerSweet Frozen Yogurt Cafe — Local services in Colorado Springs

This was my first time coming into this shop and as a first time customer I was completely unaware of the Tuesday deal they had going on. There was no advertisement of said deal in the actual shop. I decided to get a small amount of yogurt about 4.2 ounces (just about half a standard 8oz kids cup). I was then advised at THE CHECKOUT about this $5.50 deal. After offering for me to put more in the cup i politely declined because I knew I wasn’t able to eat more than what I had. She then told me I still had to pay the $5.50 for a cup that came out to about $4.20. To which I said I no longer wanted the yogurt if it was going to be more than what it’s worth, completely willing to pay the $4.20. She instantly rolled her eyes and caught an attitude insisting it didn’t matter. After sighing again and making some snarky remarks. She hesitantly let me pay by ounce. She then ripped my card out and put it in the machine herself. Pressing the answers to the questions for me in a very aggressive manner. Had I know this information before hand I wouldn’t have even gotten yogurt. Never have I heard of this promotion. And completely unaware to the fact that it was non negotiable if you don’t get that much. Honestly with the way I was treated I should’ve just left but I stayed to avoid causing a conflict. The fro-yo is amazing, and they have a variety of flavors & they also have seasonal flavors too. The atmosphere is totally kid friendly with a chalk board and coloring sheets with crayons. But the main reason i’m writing a review, is because of my experience today.

This is the only frozen yogurt place that I like, and it’s been that way for the last few years. I went there today (02/10/20) around 1, the place was clean and wiped down. The lady who was working welcomed me in, I get my frozen yogurt and go to the register to pay. My card has been acting strange the last few days, so i’m not suprised when it’s not reading my chip well. I felt so bad, the employee was apologizing and I could tell that she was stressing about it. I ended up paying with cash instead, giving her a tip too. I felt like that she probably has have other customers get frustrated/angry with the wait. I solely wanted to make this review not only for the owners to know that I love their frozen yogurt, but also in hopes that the employee will be shown/read this because I thought she was doing a great job and that she deserves the reassurance.

We had placed an order through door dash tonight 5 orders of 8 oz frozen yogurts and they had only give us 4 of the orders. On top of that the flavors that we wanted for the yogurts they put the wrong flavor in the 4 orders that we got, I had called and a young lady answered with attitude and told us ohh sorry the strawberry cheesecake is out so we replaced it with cake batter because that’s the closest flavor to it. I asked her if they can refund me due to them putting the wrong flavors and not putting a topping on one of the orders and on top of that forgetting a complete order and she was getting frustrated. She said well we close in 10 minutes so if you wanted to drive down here if not I’ll just give you a free yogurt and tell my mananger so she’s aware. When we went to go get the frozen yogurt there was three young girls giving attitude and just handed us the yogurt and eyed us down as we walked out the building. Very unprofessional and pitiful when the staff has attitude and doesn’t speak. Will not be going here or ordering...
