Cold Stone Creamery — Restaurant in Colorado Springs

My wife and I have gone here for a few years without any issues. However, when I ordered two ice creams, I walked into the store at the time they said it would be ready, they told me they were behind and busy. No worries, I waited about another 5 mins got the ice cream and left. When I got home, I realized they gave me the wrong ice cream, my wife’s was fine. So I go back into the store and one of the three servers is just talking to her friends while the other two are actually working (“so busy”). After 30 seconds I get her attention and tell her they gave me the wrong ice cream. She brings the supervisor over, who tells me that I have to pay again for the correct ice cream. I remind her that they are the ones who messed up the order, I didn’t order the incorrect ice cream. She insists that I have to pay again for the correct ice cream. I said forget it and left. I just left here and I'm appalled. I went in on 1/11/22 at 3:05pm. There was a young guy making my ice cream. He had alot of blood inside his glove. My wife pointed it out to him and he proceeded to keep his glove on and quickly rinse his gloved hand in the sink and continue to handle and mix my ice cream!!!!!!! So disgusting. He expected us to pay for that?! When we told the 2 girls working with him he ran to the back. They offered to remake my ice cream which they did and I felt pressured to pay for but I could not eat it I feel so thoroughly disgusted from seeing a food preparer have that much blood and he did not even bother to take care of it. I shouldn't have let them remake it since he got blood other places but I was just IN SHOCK at the accepted level of dangerous practice. i love cold stone. The environment and the employees are always so kind except for one time but other than that they are so welcoming. the ice cream is amazing and i love going there on hot days. One thing though is that i don’t think it’s okay for employees to work when they’re high... you could tell that one employee today was extremely high by how blood shot her eyes were and how she was acting. Of course all of them were kind, especially the one lady in a blue shirt i believe. she was absolutely amazing and smiled at us and welcomed us kindly. I don’t believe that the high employee has anything to do with the business. i don’t believe that the boss knew about this but i do believe it should be addressed as it is a food place, it makes me question whether she was smoking in the back or if she came in like that. other than that i always have amazing experiences there and of course i will...
