In short, I would not recommend this place for new clients and visitors.
(Long story) I was looking for a new nail shop since I just moved into the area and scheduled this appointment. When I originally called she said she was completely booked. She then called me right back and told me to come at 5:45 for a full set. When I walked into the shop she was working on someone's nails and there was not another soul in the building. I was immediately stereotyped by her (the owner I presume) who told me she could not service me because she does not do "long nails". (Mind you my nails are not long I'm just in desperate need of a fill or new set). I, in shock, went on to actually plea with her that I do not need "long nails" and that I just want a new simple, one color, set done. She reluctantly said yes and I began to look for a color in a very limited basket of options. At that point I realized my patronage wasn't really wanted and this lady did not make me feel welcomed into her establishment. I gained the courage to tell her that I will go elsewhere and left. Immediately as I walked out the door she told the customer she was working on that she could move forward and give her a pedicure. She did not want my patronage and did not want to service me. The experience did not make me feel good and I would not recommend new clients to her. She obviously has a particular clientele in mind. I'm extremely...
Read moreThis has to be one of THE WORST nail shops I’ve EVER been to. I came here to get my nails done because the shops I went to previously were full of customers meanwhile this nail shop was empty and also seen that their reviews weren’t bad. Everything started off very well until I asked the tech if she could fix my nail because it wasn’t straight like the other nails were. She hadnt put the acrylic on yet so it shouldn’t have been an issue. I’m not sure what the techs name was but she then proceeded to say that she felt like she wasn’t good enough to do my nails because I wouldn’t let her finish the job when I simply asked if she could fix the nail in which there was no acrylic on the nail, the service here was very horrible. If your customer asks you to fix something you do it! No questions asked! I then asked if she could take all of them off at that point because I wasn’t going to spend my money that I worked hard for. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS NAIL SHOP TO ANYONE! Because they don’t want their customers to criticize their work! If we’re spending our money and we’re wearing the nails it shouldn’t be an issue to fix something when asked. The gel polish colors they have suck and barely have a variety. This nail shop doesn’t even deserve to have any stars! Their nail shop was probably empty because of the horrible service they give, on a...
Read moreI don't usually get manicures or pedicures, so I really needed advice on what to do about my nails. I had a disappointing experience in Hibbing, MN when I was there for a family function. My nails had grown out and started peeling off the gel polish, which damaged my actual nails. I also had one nail crack just below the fingertip. I tried Magic Nails and was fortunate to get in. I relayed my experience to Mai and told her I needed her professional opinion what to do. She worked Magic for me. I didn't want to completely lose the length of my nails but found a length that was okay to deal with the break of my pinky. She was wonderful and I felt very comfortable that she was giving honest professional advice to help my nails to heal. I believe in giving positive honest reviews when they are deserved. I will most definitely be coming back to Magic Nails as I get my nails healthy again. Thank you so much for a...
