Normally our experience at Cold stone is good, we’ve been to them all over the country. My son used to work for Cold Stone and was an exceptional employee, so he knows the expectations of the job: Not too difficult. Today, we were celebrating a cool event. And today’s experience at Cold Stone was by far the worst. First off, when we walked in, the female worker DID NOT GREET us, she looked right at us and ignored us for several minutes, which I took in part as giving us time to decide. However, she didn’t greet any of the 2 other customers that walked in after us, either. She finally asked if we knew what we wanted, my son ordered first. She mixed drops of another ice cream into my sons order, not too big of a deal but she DID NOT MIX the banana that was in his order, at all. There were 3 slices of banana, stuck together, that he had to chop up with his plastic spoon (that we discovered on the ride home-too late to give it back to her). The only reason she said anything was when she thanked us, as she took my signed receipt, probably thinking there was a tip. My son begged me to not leave her a tip because he knows I’m a generous tipper for those youngsters. So, her mixing skills suck and her customer service skills suck. Read moreFrom the beginning of this experience it was very terrible. When we first walked in there was no greeting, no smile not even a acknowledgment. Then when I was waiting in line both workers were working on online orders forcing us to wait in a line that wasn’t even there, nobody was before me and I still waited to be helped. Then once I started ordering what I wanted for the mix ins the lady kept asking “is that it” after every mix in I asked for, they weren’t even patient. When it came to paying she charged me almost $10 for four mix ins instead of charging me as a signature and adding a mix in that way; and my ice cream wasn’t even full all the way. Then my friend ordered a smoothie and they didn’t even blend the ice. There was large chunks of ice left over in her cup and they weren’t even stocked up with their covers so they gave her smoothie without a lid. We finally paid and then left. Eating my ice cream I found a piece of hair, that was white. I’m a brunette. It was utterly disgusting. I use to love coming to this location but I do not recommend it here. Read moreI put in a cake order for my daughter's birthday last week and when i came to pick it up, they missed the entire order and didnt even have it ready for me. The very polite gal was really nice and apologetic and talked to her manager about it. Surprisingly, the manager didn't even come out to apologize on behalf of their screw up. The best they could offer was to take three cakes from the freezer to make up for it. Otherwise, it would take 4 hours to freeze my cake if they had made it, but of course the party would be over by then and i had to feed 40 people. So i took three cakes without being rude and made it the best scenario for my 2 year old. In my opinion, the manager should have refunded my money for not even having my cake ready and gave me cakes for free. But whatever, its just cake.
