Wow, Sofra Kitchen really blew me away! From the moment we sat down, everything felt so welcoming. The place is spotless, the atmosphere is warm, and the staff made us feel right at home. On top of that, the service was super fast — we never had to wait long for anything.
We decided to order a little bit of everything so we could really try out the menu, and honestly, every single dish was amazing. The fresh salad was loaded with crisp veggies, onions, olives, and just the right touch of lemon — so refreshing. The appetizers were creamy, rich, and full of flavor. Then came the lahmacun… thin, perfectly crispy, and seasoned really well.
For mains, we had kuşbaşı pide, Adana kebab, İnegöl köfte, and döner. The pide was soft but still had that nice bite, loaded with juicy meat and veggies, with melty cheese pulling everything together. The Adana had the perfect spice kick without being overwhelming, the köfte was tender and flavorful, and the döner was so juicy and perfectly cooked. The portions were big too — perfect for sharing family-style.
After all that food, a hot glass of Turkish tea was exactly what I needed. And just when I thought the meal couldn’t get any better, they surprised us with a beautiful fruit plate — fresh strawberries, watermelon, cherries, and apple slices. That little touch honestly made the experience feel extra special, like eating at a friend’s home instead of just a restaurant.
What really stood out for me wasn’t just the food (though it was excellent), but the consistency — clean restaurant, fast service, friendly staff, and authentic flavors across the board. Sofra Kitchen doesn’t just serve food, they give you the full experience, and it’s clear they truly care about their guests.
If you’re looking for authentic Turkish food with generous portions, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere, Sofra Kitchen is the place. I’ll definitely be coming back, and I’ll be recommending this spot to all my...
Read moreCame here with my friend because we love Turkish food. Big mistake.
First of all, shoutout to our waitress — she was honestly the only good thing about this place. Super sweet and did her best. But everything else? A disaster.
We waited 20 minutes for a Lahmacun and a Chicken Sandwich… like are they growing the chicken out back or something? And when the food finally showed up, I wish it didn’t. The Chicken Wrap had so little chicken I thought maybe it was a vegetarian option. Mostly just bread and veggies. The Lahmacun? Bro, I’ve seen more meat on a cracker. You could literally see through it. This ain’t Lahmacun — this is sad.
And while we’re sitting there trying to chew through disappointment, the owner, Ercan, is out here yelling at his workers like he’s in some Netflix mafia show. Mad because they didn’t call him “El Patron” (The Boss)… in Spanish… even though he’s Turkish? Sir, please.
Then he starts yelling at the cook because she didn’t know how to make him a latte. Like bro, this is a Turkish restaurant, not Starbucks.
Oh, and apparently if you leave a tip on your card, the owner keeps it. The servers don’t even get it. If that’s not shady, I don’t know what is. Tip in cash if you don’t want your money going straight to “El Patron.”
We came back another day for breakfast (because we believe in second chances… regretted it). I ordered the XL Plate, which on the menu said it comes with Sigara Böreği. Guess what? No Sigara Böreği. Just a regular plate with one extra egg and a tiny bit more cheese. Price difference? $20. For what?? Vibes???
And the final insult — $10 for 3-4 tiny frozen baklavas. Frozen. For $10. I’m convinced this man is trolling.
Moral of the story: Save your money. Go literally anywhere else. Turkish food deserves better. Customers deserve better. And workers definitely deserve better.
Hope karma’s...
