I have been a loyal customer at this Starbucks location for a long time and have always had positive experiences, so I was completely shocked by the service I received during my most recent visit. I am not usually one to write reviews, but this situation left me frustrated and disappointed.
I placed my order for a Venti Caramel Frappuccino through the drive-thru, and from the very start, I noticed that the barista taking my order had a rude and impatient tone. Despite this, I proceeded with my order as usual. When I arrived at the window, I paid and waited for my drink. However, when the barista handed it to me, I immediately noticed that the lid was not securely on the cup. Before I could even react, the drink started spilling over the sides, my hands, my shirt, and even parts of my car.
What shocked me the most was the barista’s complete lack of concern. Instead of apologizing or offering assistance, she blamed me, claiming that I was squeezing the cup too hard and that’s why the lid came off. Even after seeing the mess it created, she continued to hand me the drink in a careless manner, almost as if she was intentionally making it spill even more. At this point, I had to ask for napkins myself because none were offered to help clean up the mess.
The entire interaction felt dismissive and unprofessional. What should have been a simple and pleasant experience turned into an incredibly frustrating one. I left feeling shocked by the lack of basic customer service and courtesy. I asked for her name I believe it's Shona.
I truly hope that management takes this feedback seriously and ensures that their staff provides better service in the future. As someone who has always enjoyed coming to this location, this was a very disappointing experience and will going to a different location...
Read moreLet me preface by saying that I am a regular Starbucks customer; I stop every morning before work in different suburbs throughout the Twin Cities metro. I order the same drink at pretty much every location (trenta vanilla sweet cream cold brew w/ just a light splash of sweet cream) and generally have positive experiences at nearly every location I visit.
I am not exaggerating when I say that every experience I’ve had at the Saint Anthony location has been shockingly and laughably bad. The wait times for drive-thru are upwards of 15-30 minutes, even at non-peak hours and on off-days, and I don’t understand if it’s because of short staffing, lack of training, or just no urgency among the staff to work efficiently like they do at other locations. It doesn’t help that the parking lot is poorly laid out, but I understand that’s not within the staff’s control. I assume there’s been a lot of turnover at this store specifically, because I’ve never gotten the same barista taking my order and the lack of consistency shows — my order isn’t challenging, but for some reason at this location my drink order is entered wrong, charged extra to take away ingredients, needed to be remade and ultimately ends up made wrong. And today the baristas working were very kind to try and solve issues, but my drink is still wrong and my experience at this location is left permanently soured.
This is my neighborhood Starbucks, where I’d like to go on my days off to get a drink and start my morning well. It’s the closest to home, and I shouldn’t have to go out of my way to find a location that meets the standards of every other Starbucks in the metro.
Please, Saint Anthony...
Read moreThe staff here are incredibly kind, and they work hard. However, my recent experience included waiting over 30 minutes for a mobile order which I placed 10 minutes before arriving at the store. I fully understand being short staffed, and folks were definitely working hard. However, this would’ve been a time to offer anyone who had waited more than 15 minutes for their order a gift card for a free drink at their next visit. In my over 25 years of being a Starbucks member, I’ve seen stores do this many times in such situations. I do wish this group would have considered something like that and automatically handed them out to everyone who had been waiting a long time. And just to be clear, my situation in particular included folks coming in after me who got their orders before I did, so again, a gesture such as a free drink on your next visit would have been the right...
