My story is a wild one for sure however, let me share some points about it. I have known Lindsay around 15 years! She has always been such a kind sweet person!

My son and daughter-in-law wanted me to move closer so I could see my grandson more! By far that was the best part of this whole process! Getting to watch him grow. I also needed to be closer to family and friends as I am having a knee replacement this year and will need some help.

So I reached out to Lindsay who sold me my house almost 2 years ago and said can this happen?!? Without missing a beat she got me all lined out. At this point it was a waiting game due to not trying to move till April.

A house here and there came up on the market but nothing that really grabbed my attention. Until this cute little 3 bed 1 bath came up. I knew in my heart this was the one. I put my offer in and needless to say my offer was too low.

So we kept on looking and Lindsay said I think you should take a look at this litter fixer upper knowing I’m down to upgrade a house. So I reached out to my son DIL best friend and her fiancé to come with me. Just in case there was some foundation issues that I didn’t know about.

We all got there and that house was a bust so we looked at another property. It looked good on the outside inside been redone however, they didn’t do a very good job on the foundation. So I passed on that one as well.

Then Lindsay says do you trust me, and I said, with my life I do! She said hear me out I want you to come look at this property with me. At that point I knew it was above my budget so I said I’ll look. I just don’t think that I could do this. I think it’s gonna be too high.

She takes me to a new build, and never in my life did I think I would be able to have something like this? I was still extremely hesitant the house is everything I wanted. On my way home home. I called my kids and asked them if they thought I was doing the right thing and of course they’ve always been my biggest supporters!

Sometimes you have to stick your head out of the comfort zone to find the things you’re really really looking for. I messaged Lindsay later that night. I said, let’s do it!

That’s when this process started moving at the speed of light! She told me things to look at to lower my house payment. My insurance, it was half the cost we figured due to it being a new home. My interest rate was a half a percent lower than what we were looking at. This is when I started to see that things were falling into place and this is the house! She then put my house on the market around 9 AM on a Thursday. I had two showings that night and by 4 PM the next day my house was under contract!

When I tell you, she marketed my house on all different, social media platforms, the support that she gave me through the process of buying and selling at the same time because I’ve only purchased I haven’t sold at this point she walked me through everything! Even all my crazy questions, she answered everything and helped soothed my anxiety during that process as well!

Now for the hurry up and wait process this is definitely difficult. We go through the home inspection and that process will work on you mentally and it’s exhausting! When I was ready to throw the towel in Lindsay was able to calm me down and put numbers together to make sure it was still where I wanted to be.

I got connected to Ryan Martin through Zillow while searching for a home to buy in April of 2021. My circumstance was unique and given the current housing market, challenging as well, as my only option was for a government VA loan which as I’ve come to find out are difficult to get under contract in a competitive market.

Ryan was the first one to respond to my initial inquiry and it was easily within 10 minutes of my submission, you can’t ask for a prompter response than that. He was very diligent in getting to know me first, what my needs and interests were, the timeframe I was looking to purchase, and the areas I was interested in. I found it comforting knowing he would help me find not a needle in a haystack home but, the needle in a needle stack home that would both suit my needs and be amenable to a government loan.

After working with Ryan for about a year now I am happy that he was the one to respond as he has been very understanding and patient of the limitations that accompanied the circumstance I found myself in needing to buy a home. His knowledge of the local area, the current housing market, and the potential for a successful purchase was invaluable. As I’ve worked with Ryan, I have come to learn that he is very busy and very proactive. Any time I had a question or made him aware of another home I was interested in he responded very quickly. I can’t think of a single time that it wasn’t within 15-30 minutes. He utilizes all methods of communication including text, email, and good old-fashioned phone calls. He booked viewings very quickly and any home I was interested in we had a showing within a day or two. It’s no secret that “salesmen” get a bad reputation but, you will not find a more genuine, understanding, patient, knowledgeable, or hard-working family man than Ryan. He is gem and you would be in great hands to have him as your agent. He is a consummate professional that I would have zero hesitation referring family or friends to.

Thanks to Ryan’s efforts and diligence, I found my needle in a needle stack and that can be directly attributed to his knowledge, attentiveness, negotiation ability, and communication skills. He made the whole process seem effortless which he told me directly is what he strives for. He said his mission is to make the buying process as easy and seamless as possible and he certainly lived up to that statement.

I am not originally from the Columbia MO area so I had no idea of the reputation of the realtors, however, I can say that based on my experience, I don’t think you can go wrong using Columbia Real Estate. I have found all interaction, communication, and assistance to be top notch, easily 5 stars...

I lived in Minnesota my whole life. When my job asked me to move to Missouri I suddenly found myself in a position where I had to find a new realtor in a new state and I knew nothing of the process of home buying. My realtors found Ryan Martin and connected us. This was my first home and I had about 3 months to find it, buy it, pack up, move and settle in before my new job was to start. I gave Ryan a very tall order to fill and he took it on with a smile. Since I was to continue working up until the move, I had 1 weekend to visit Missouri and look at a few houses in person. Ryan met me on a Sunday morning and we looked at the 4 places I had picked out before I had to get back to Minnesota for work the next day. Ryan made an offer and less than an hour later, he called to congratulate me on the offer being accepted. At this point he could have stepped back a little while I worked with my lender on the loan but he didn't miss a beat there either. There were huge bumps in the road to the loan approval and he was just as present and dedicated thru that as finding the house. When an old account on my credit almost prevented me from getting approved at the last minute, while my lender and I quickly resolved that problem, Ryan pulled off the impossible and made it possible for me to move into my soon to be home early and start my new job position on time, while we reworked my loan. Never once did I have to wait for Ryan to have time for me, he made time for me. He would call or text to see if I needed anything or had questions. If I did call him and he wasn't immediately available, I would get a response in less than an hour, at most. I honestly could write a novel singing his praises because I don't know what I would have done without his knowledge of his profession and his dedication to his clients. I would recommend him to anyone who is lucky enough to be home shopping in his area. Ryan made my crazy home buying challenge so much easier and less stressful than it could have been. I was fully informed of every step of the process and I can't thank him enough. I love my new home, thanks to Ryan Martin. He will 100% go above and beyond the call of duty...
