Five Below — Local services in Columbia

Leaving this review for 4/21/2024 our visit at Five Below at 11:45am. I have a huge problem with being watched for the items that my daughter and I were paying for today. My issue is yall take the the registers away to ring up our items for us but watch us like a hawk. We do not stay in Columbia, SC so on occasions we will go to Five Below to look around/browse. I'm getting to the point we are not going back. I haven't stole not one thing a day in my life at almost 38 years of living, nor have my daughter in her 13 years of living and this is how we are treated every time we go in. We don't even go in with a pocketbook/storebag. Only my wallet, phone and keys and my daugter comes in with just her clothes on. We were taught better than to steal. If we don't have the money then we don't worry about having the item and we wait until we do. The white girl up there should not have been on our backs watching us like she was. It's a known fact most workers steal more than customers. I thinking this will be my last time going. I rather pay more somewhere else than to go back...

I use to frequently shop at this store, spent hundreds of my dollars just go to my car & watch the same girl allow everyone else minus one other poc to be the only people who had to have everything checked out via a worker as if i was about to steal! Ive never been so offended!

I watched others self pay while i had to be guided & stuff watched through my check out! I use to love this location because it’s convenient, i use to know every single worker at this location, the new faces clearly assumed me, a regular customer, to be a theif!

Ive been grieving so i haven’t been here since they revamped the store, however I have a birthday I was shopping for & the workers never treated me this way. I understand the theft problem at this store, the old workers told me about it. But to be singled out? is wild to me. You all lost a customer. I will never come back to this location.

I currently have on shorts that are over alls but the over alls aren’t even on my shoulders, my shirt is gym wear, where the hell am i gonna put anything & I’m getting shirts & mostly big...

Hey ya'll. This a not a bad find.I am late to the five below game. I have only just recently be introduced. Now I was shocked that the merchandise prices don't match the name of the store lol, but that being said the highest priced item I came across was $40. I love the selection from the small little toys up to the bigger organizational or metaphysical needs. This particular location is well stocked not overly merchandised, and is clean every time I go in. I will say that some of the items are over priced for what they are in my opinion, so I would recommend smart shopping. That being said I would highly recommend this place.
