I absolutely love this store! I shop here year after year, multiple times a year. This past weekend I was very unsettled with this store and it’s employees. Like previous reviews before mine, I agree that management may need to have a serious intervention. I live an hour away and expecting a busy Saturday for them, I was sure to be there when their doors opened. With my 3 large bins of items to sell. I was second in line, waiting for the doors to open. First thing that caught me off guard was the two employees that were there were in a terrible mood and made this known. They were bad mouthing another employee for being late all the while they roughly placing items outside the door. Cribs, strollers, play pens etc were being tossed around. Customers are steady pulling in and the employees are mumbling things like “this is ridiculous” “it’s already gonna be a three hour wait at opening.” Already before walking in to the store I wanted to turn around and leave. The negativity was set that this was not going to be a good experience. But I remained optimistic, after all this was my favorite consignment store!! The three bins I brought in were carefully selected. I’ve sold enough to them and have learned the things they will accept and won’t. After waiting almost two hours, I was offered $72 for a small bin of items. I was surprised, but was okay with that! Wasn’t until I got home that I was able to look at the things they did not accept. There was a bin full of shoes and none of the shoes had been selected. Which was surprising to me because some of them were new with tags. A lot of them were in great shape for used items! And like the previous posts, I saw some really cruddy shoes and clothing for sell in their store THAT DAY! In fact I bought some!! I didn’t realize it until I was home, but I bought a pajama set that said a size 10 on OUAC tag in reality the pants were a size 12! No tag in the shirt and there was something sticky on the back of it. Once I got to looking in the clothing bin, they took a brand new shirt with tags off of the original sales hanger and kept it but did not keep the matching leggings that went with the shirt. They were attached together, what sense does this make? I called and asked if they were not accepting shoes at this time and the representative said if “we were really busy then we may have missed the bin” for me to bring them back in for a second opinion....I live an hour away, secondly, I was the second person in line for buying. This is very disheartening. I’m sharing pictures of a few items that didn’t...
Read moreI am not one to write reviews but in this case I feel that it is needed. I have a 5 month old and a 20 month old. With covid we don’t go anywhere and I can’t take them to do anything with the risk of catching the virus. I spent a lot of time washing and neatly organizing and folding their clothes and placed them in bins to be taken to the Harbison store. It is a 45 minute drive for me and with two little ones is hard to do, especially when having to wait for the staff to go through the clothes and trying to entertain them and not being able to go anywhere with covid. With that being said, I delivered very clean, some brand new or never worn, brand name, stain free clothes from a pet free smoke free home. After receiving an extremely low offer for what they did look through, I got home and noticed more than half of the clothes were still folded and organized the way I had originally had them. I wasted my time driving up there and waiting with my two babies. The staff didn’t even go through the clothes. I called up there and asked why and was told they needed to be washed. How embarrassing to have someone tell you this and how offended I was! We are a very clean family! I would never have spent my time folding and organizing dirty clothes! I was then told they did go through them and then folded them back. Anyone who has dropped off clothes there knows that this isn’t how it works. I will never waste my time going there or shopping there ever again. It’s sad because there were a lot of nice clothes in there that look better than the selection that they have out! Kendria is the employee that “completed” my order. I would rather just give items away to people in need than to practically give it away to a company to...
Read moreTook 6 diaper boxes to the harbison location yesterday to be told as soon as I carted it all through the door that they were too full and not taking anything. That I could bring them back at 9am the next day. I asked if she knew if the two notch rd location was accepting and she told me no that they were in the same position too. While I was loading them back up I watched someone else take a box of clothes in and come out empty handed. I called the two notch rd location myself and she told me they were not full and were excepting items still. I drove to the two notch rd location, dropped the boxes off at 5:30pm and was told it would be 2 hours. I live an hour away so I was waiting in the area. An employee called me at 7:30pm and told me they were going through my items now but not finished yet and asked if I could come back tomorrow to pick the items up. I told her I lived too far away and was under the impression everything was done the same day and they could not hold items overnight as I’ve sold to the harbison location in the past. By the end of the conversation she stated they would be finished before they closed at 9pm and id receive a text. So I had to wait around the area 3 and a half hours. It was 8:55pm still no text. So I went in and told them the situation as the girl I talked to initially wasn’t in there. Come to find out they hadn’t even opened 1 box yet to sort in the 3 and a half hours so I just loaded them all back up myself and drove the hour back home. Huge...
