First, I have ms so walking around is not always so easy. I treated myself to a trip to Michael’s and even came up from the lake of the Ozarks to shop at this store. The aisles were not disabled friendly with boxes everywhere blocking aisles and corners. I couldn’t find everything that is was looking for and began to lose my energy so I got a few things and went to checkout. At checkout, items I had rang up more expensive than they were labeled so the clerk went ahead and said she could fix that, then it wouldn’t let her price override. So she called for assistance. Meanwhile, I’m holding up the line and trying to stand up while losing energy at the counter. The manager I assume, her name was Amiah, she took the threads and went to price check. Then said they weren’t labeled with a price so no override would be done. I still wanted the threads so I hurried to purchase them so the line could keep moving (one checker). I went ahead and expended the energy to walk back to where I found my threads to show what she said wasn’t priced. Would you have thought they were $1.99 and $1.49? Instead they were $4.79.. Terrible customer service, guessing what your prices are throughout the store and no regard for people using...
Read moreI love this store! Employees are polite and helpful. Believe it or not, they actually provide customer service, VOLUNTARILY! Rare in today's society. Ask they are walking the sales floor, they will speak to each customer, saying more than just "hello", they also ask if you're finding everything ok, offer to hold large items at the register so that you can continue to shop without lugging them around, price checks, and for the most part, they are pretty knowledgeable on the general location of items that you might be looking for. The store is fairly clean and pretty organized. I will say that the shopping cart placement is quite annoying, when I leave a store, I try to put my cart back on my way out and just carry my bags. At this store, you have to go through the exit door, and then back through the entrance door to put the cart back, and then back out. They now have a sign on the exit door instructing you to put your own cart back following the process described above. I always try to make things easier on employees when I'm out shopping, but the rude sign demanding that I do something someone else is paid to do,...
Read moreI don’t have any complaints about the stores inventory specifically. I had a couple questions and each time I had one I had to wander around for 10 minutes to find a single worker(there was a line at the checkout). Then when in line for the checkout someone’s item didn’t have a tag on it and they were going back and forth about the price. There was only one cashier open and she proceeded to ask the customer to go get another one, which I guess I would understand if they were going to check others out while that happened. But she then just stood there and waited for the customer to come back to the front for 5 minutes and everyone in line was just looking at her. Meanwhile another worker behind the counter was doing something else that didn’t seem to be urgent. I love Michaels but this irritated me and Hobby Lobby had a much larger selection of most stuff so i’ll...
