We eat at House of Chow very often and absolutely LOVE the food and typically the service. Although today we had a new server we've never seen there before n she was aweful!! Our soup was cold n it took forever to get it back hot then we had to ask for the soup crunchies then we asked for silverware, of which I went ahead and got it myself. By the time she did bring our food it was cold. She told us when she brought the soup crunchies our food was hot n ready but then didn't bring it right away. We're not sure why she was so "off". We will continue to eat there but will ask for another server if she happens to be the one we get. We give the restaurant 5 Stars 🌟 but this server not even a one star.. I almost always order the eggplant and pork, my brother almost always orders the twice cooked pork n my sister almost always orders the Kung bao chicken. But we went in over the weekend and I think he’s the manager (didn’t catch his name but he’s always there). Was incredibly rude. It was busy so we waited at least an hour for our food (and didn’t get our soup until after our meal) but he really ruined the evening for my partner and I. We were patience with the stuff because it’s not their fault but the manager had no reason to be as rude as he was. I won’t be returning. Read moreThis post is at least 5 months old. Don't know why it didn't post when I wrote it. The new owner is very nice and he has done a lot to update the inside. Very pretty. However...we have been going there for 20 years and it has only been recently that there have been problems. I usually call for take out, but many times the phone is not answered. Last week we ordered our usual take out. When we got it home, the pot stickers had burned through the Styrofoam carries so the were inedible. I called and complained and what really bothered me is that he knew this had been happening and did nothing about it. Its a new chef, we were told. I don't care if the chef was born yesterday, we got our food home and had to throw it away. Of course he offered us a replacement or refund but who wants to drive an hour round trip to pick up what should have been made correctly in the first place. I hope he gets his...
