Portions are so tiny! We did order carryout- was given the option for half or full menu items and I chose full. We were charged for full menu items. $22 for chicken alamer= 2 chicken strips ontop of very little rice, cold with a hint of cinnamon/nutmeg on everything- a strange sweetness- did not care for it. Alligator bite meal- zero seasoning, looks good but only the flavor of cornmeal. Hushpuppies had a piece of wood in it? Maybe part of a toothpick idk- they are sweet not onion flavored so just wasn't very good it was around $24 for meal. Beer battered shrimp meal' $16- came with a very small portion of fries like a dozen literally- and for an upcharge! Instead of the slaw?! Shrimp was so soggy and again zero seasoning not even salt on anything. The side salads- which was simply romain lettuce with parm on it and was the best part of our meal- ranch is absolutely phenomenal!! Yes its the GREAT kind of ranch! Perhaps eating this type of food is only best in person? The reviews sounded amazing- we were so excited to try but after spending around $75 for 3 meals that were unappealing in almost every way really sucks! The food was ready on time, the staff was nice on the phone and welcoming in person during pick up, maybe they had a different cook and the real chef was sick because this was a total waste of money.

Creamy Alfredo means Creamy Alfredo not the whole spice container dumped on my partner's plate. Yes it is a Cajun place like the manager rudely pointed out but this dish did not say it had spice, no pepper icon next to it , nothing. Made us pay half when she only took one bite, it wasn't fit for anyone to eat anyway. The server was nowhere to be found, it wasn't even that busy half the tables were empty. Would not recommend unless you like being belittled for food choices and paying for food you can't even eat. Actually the answers to below reply were a yes she tried it , yes she asked questions and we even asked for the menu to read the description of the dish again. No where did it say Cajun spices or have a pepper next to it. In fact there are photos on other reviews with the dish being creamy white not orange like we got. Why would we trust someone as rude as you to "doctor it up" whenever you already were being hostile about us asking for something else. Again below just proves how unprofessional and rude the manager is of this establishment, do not recommend this location to anyone ever. The fact that they lied in their reply about the situation is more than enough to prove my point, we were not offered a replacement and we were told "its a Cajun restaurant deal with it" basically by the owner.

Went to Jazz for my birthday dinner this evening (6pm). We sat outside at the sidewalk cafe tables. Service was a little slow, but they were very busy, and a little understaffed. The staff more than made up for that by having a great and cheerful attitude, which is pretty amazing with the pressure they were under. Prices are reasonable and the food quantity and quality are above par. I had a bowl of seafood gumbo, 1/2 lb of boiled shrimp and a full fried catfish dinner. Way too much food, but hey it was my birthday. Everything I ordered was perfectly cooked, seasoned and well presented! My wife had a Cajun Stir Fry with beef, chicken and shrimp over dirty rice. You can have it with one or all 3 of those proteins. Your choice. I was born and raised on the Gulf Coast, and was able to have all the fresh seafood and Cajun/Creole food my heart desired when I lived there. The food at Jazz was as good as any I have had and that includes my favorite places to dine at in the Florida panhandle and beyond. Jazz is worth the wait, and anyway you shouldn't really be in a hurry when you go out for dinner at a sit down restaurant. Relax and enjoy yourself! Check out my catfish plate (2 large filets) pictured below... It was awesome 👍😉

I came here for lunch today, I ordered the chicken a la mer BECAUSE it was half off on Tuesdays if you dine in and get a drink with it. I work right next door and only have a 25min lunch break, so I called ahead of time to ask them to start cooking the food and that I would be there in about 10min to eat there, and explained I had a short lunch and didn't want to rush if it took 10-15min for the food to be ready. I have waited 20min for my food last time I ordered here. The sweet girl on the phone offered to put it in a box so that it wouldn't get cold incase it got done before I arrived, and I mentioned that was fine as long as it's still half off. She informed me it would be, that as long as I ate there & purchased a drink, there wouldn't be a problem. Half way through my food I am informed that my meal would NOT be half off due to it being placed in a box and not on a plate (that I never asked for I might add). I told my waitress that they could have the food back if that's the case, bc I did not ask for it to be in a box and when I ordered it over the phone it should have been mentioned then. Not half way through my lunch break. The waitress said she will speak to the manager again and see what she could do. She returns moments later to inform me that the manager BRITTANY would NOT be offering half off and that the waitress herself has already paid for half since she is the one that took my order over the phone. I found this completely ridiculous, especially since this waitress was extremely polite and mentioned that this was not the first time she has had to pay out of her pocket for similar situations. This waitress paid for half of my meal that cost her probably HALF of what she made in the last hour, meanwhile BRITTANY the manager had no reason not to give me half off, costing her absolutely NOTHING! This goes to show how managment treats their customers AND employees! BRITTANY should be ashamed of herself! I come here at least once a week, but will not be returning as long as this manager is employed here. Do better Jazz, do better... and as for my waitress, you deserve better, I will be back only to tip you...

Owner / GM is very unprofessional.

I came in for a GrubHub order and waited 10 minutes before anyone even asked me if I had been helped, when I did get asked I said hey I’ve been here for an order for 10 minutes and no one has bothered asking if I needed help. They then told me the order was not ready, I then asked for a time when it will be ready so I can update my customer. Everyone said I do not know, so I then asked if they could find out for me as I had been waiting with no updates on the order.

Then a lady came up to me claiming she was the manager / GM / Owner and told me if I was rude to her staff again I would not be allowed back in.

I was explained to her that I was no where near rude I waited for 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged I was at the front counter and then I asked for an update on my order so I could update my client she didn’t seem to like my response that I wasn’t being rude her staff was just being negligent. She then asked me to point out who looked at me and didn’t say anything I told the lady that the people went to the back and I wasn’t going to go through her store to point out people not doing their job properly. I also told her feel free to review her camera and she walked away not liking that she wasn’t going to bully me around.

I then called and asked to speak to the manager and this ungrateful rude lady again answered the phone and I told her how uncalled for that was and then she started talking over me the entire time, and then when I said mam that’s not how you approach people she said well I’m just trying to train my staff to greet people accordingly I said that is fine but it’s not called for to approach a driver and accuse them of being rude for asking for an updated time to let the customer know when their order would be ready. She then hung up the phone instead acknowledging her mistake and her egregious attitude. I will also be making a better business bureau report of this atrocious behavior.

She was just bragging to people about how her store just won best in Columbia. You won’t remain best in Columbia...

Since I am new to the area, I decided to stop in and try something from Jazz A Louisiana Kitchen, one evening after work. I ordered the crawfish étouffée. I waited for the order, which didn’t take long. I paid and left with my order. When I got home I opened the container, and it was nothing more than a container of grease, which tasted horrible. I called the restaurant immediately and asked for a Manager. A manager came to the phone and identified herself as Brittney. I explained to her that the food was not edible. This is where everything went down hill. She asked me to return the food. Although tired from a long day, I obliged. Upon looking at my credit card info online I noticed that I was charged at extra $4 for the meal. It appeared that the hostess charged me for taking my order and going to the kitchen to retrieve it for me. Without my consent she had charged my credit card. When I arrived at the restaurant to return the food, I mentioned the extra charges as well. There was no acknowledgement of why this was done. Brittney the manager looked at the container of grease and apologized for my inconvenience. She asked if I wanted something else, but in my frustration about having to return the food (using more gas) and the extra charge, I had no desire to accept anything else from the establishment. I told the manager I only wanted a refund. She took a picture of my receipt and promised to refund the $25.48 that I was charged. The actual meal was $21.40. That transaction happened 12 days ago and I have yet to get my refund. You must be a struggling business to refuse to return a customer’s money after giving someone horrible cuisine and unprincipled service. I have called the restaurant and spoke with Brittney re: the refund and she claims it was handled, but the refund has never cleared my credit card. I have since submitted a dispute with my credit card company about the unconscionable way this matter has been handled. NEVER EAT AT JAZZ A LOUISIANA KITCHEN. What type of business would lose business over $25.48? I can answer that question—a...
