Planet Fitness — Local services in Columbia

Instead of some Planet Fitness members being direct with you when they are assigned the massage chair they report to front desk, they knock on the doors when you're lying down meditating in the number four room. Front desk employees take in more consideration when some Planet Fitness members want to use the number four room with the outdoor sounds and the non massage chair. I completely understand that everybody has to consider taking turns using the non massage chair. But as grown ups why we can't just wait our turn without going to front desk lying as if another member knows you want to use the non massage chair and being in the room exceeding the duration: fifteen minutes on purpose. And during the times when there's no traffic of members coming just yet why not use another fifteen minutes cause fifteen minutes is all they're allowing you to have. Just goes to show that Planet Fitness doesn't really care much about your mental health and Planet Fitness was good when they were just a dollar and I got behind in the past months and I recall my bill was one hundred and twenty nine dollars. How are there more than one tanning room but only one non massage room to just relax just until some rude white member or front desk employee knocking on the door and not caring about whoever is inside that room in the middle of their therapeutic session. There is no welcoming feeling at Planet Fitness and Planet Fitness needs to hire much older mature employees because the young employees y'all have are bias, unethical and not considerate. Some of the employees such as the overnight employees have allowed a woman recently with a lot of bags into Planet Fitness and she wasn't even a member didn't pay a dime. She sat in the massage chair and fell asleep. Need I remind you she said she came all the way from West Columbia so I wonder why she didn't go to Planet Fitness in Cayce? The answer is as obvious as her being at Harbison's Planet Fitness overnight due to unethical managers and the rest of Planet Fitness staff. It's weird how some people never really leave after they walk out of Planet Fitness especially at night. If you not heading back in Planet Fitness what's the point in just sitting in the car with seats adjusted back and sleep? They're only taking up much needed parking spaces for other members to use prior to going into...

This location sucks! It has only been open a little over a year and there is always something needing maintenance, broken or dirty. The tanning beds are the tastiest I have ever used in 35 years I have been tanning. They NEVER clean the beds or the rooms. There is so much hair, dirt and dust on the machines and in the rooms, it is just disgusting. It takes me 10 minutes to clean the bed before I will get in. If I go in the stand up bed, I put paper towels on the floor to stand on. They have 6 beds and 3 have been out of service since March. The other 3 have burnt out bulbs. Bed #3 has 6 burnt out bulbs right now. There is never a manager available. The employees don't know or don't care when you ask questions. No one knows when the beds will be working. I have been asking who I can talk to for months and apparently there is no one above the lady manager in there. No regional manager, no franchise owner to speak with.......today I go in and now all the beds are down or unavailable while a transformer is being installed, supposedly or at least that was the excuse. When I asked how long they would be down the guy behind the counter just shrugged his shoulders. Another employee said "maybe try back tomorrow". I would not recommend this location to anyone which is sad because after joining we waited 6 months for it to open, 3 months past when they said it was going to open because it's the closest...

I had a bad experience here with Hope A. I came in with my brother expecting to have a relaxing workout. She told me I was not allowed to wear my clothes at this planet fitness (Harbison) if I was on the floor. I was wearing a dress shirt and khakis and a belt with closed toed shoes with the intention of taking off my dress shirt before exercising. If this is not allowed, this is really unreasonable. My brother asked for her name, and she was rude to him and said she would cancel his membership. I’d like to resolve this if possible. I would leave a 1 star but I’ve never had an issue here...
