My Mom was hospitalized for fluid around the heart and A fib after an almost septic bout with pneumonia hospital stay also. She was placed on the third floor which I'm told by one of the workers this was a floor more for intestine, stomach, or pancreatic surgery patients. I know everyone talks about health care however; this was the worst I have ever experienced. She arrived by ambulance around 330 in the afternoon and was admitted around 930 after an all afternoon stay in the ER. She was never offered or given any food or drink and the next morning her breakfast tray was finally brought around 9 am. Then, that afternoon after asking around 1 about lunch, there was never a lunch tray brought at all. We fed her the night before after 10 pm and that afternoon as well. She is also a final stage COPD patient and the dr only had breathing treatments ordered for her every 6 hours "as needed" when in reality she takes all meds thru a nebulizer, so the neb for her, is pretty much an all-day thing and if they had really looked at her chart they would have known this as well as she was just released from hospital one week prior with all meds listed and notes from the hospital stays since the fall of last year. When we asked for breathing treatments due to her not being able to breathe the dr himself called the room and asked me why we needed the breathing treatments every 4 hours and then proceeded to tell me he did not want to sway from his decision and could not spend all day with one patient. With all due respect, that was not what I was asking, just send respiratory with the medicine for her to breathe comfortably. On top of this, her pulmonologist is located on the exact same floor in the hospital. If nothing else correlate with him. You do not have to take MY word for anything. When trying to clarify meds or orders and voice my concerns with the nurses I got attitude, eye rolls, rudeness. Like we were the one patient on the hall and they hated to deal with us. So finally, we started giving what we were getting in return and that made it worse. An after-care solution for a 20-day rehab (skilled nursing) was offered then retracted based on a PT lady who walks in decides that she can go home with PT just by looking and talking to her, AFTER the skilled nursing was offered and recommended by the dr. She cannot get to the bathroom without a nurse or collapsing there or at home for that matter. How is this decision made just by looking at the patient?? The patient is already on Home Health and PT with PT being held due to her condition. I got in touch with my home health company and had them reach out to the case worker at the hospital to maybe confirm things were different than the hospital Physical Therapy stated and maybe she was off on her diagnosis. They were very rude when I reached out for a follow up to make sure she was not discharged based on her recommendation. Because she can't go to this rehab unless discharged there from DR. and hospital. Lastly, We were then told we would just have to wait for the Dr's decision it was his call. But wait.... you just came around not even 24 hours prior and said he recommended the 20-day rehab since she had been in and o u t of t h e hospital and just could not make this hurdle. Currently, I am still waiting for a decision and my mom is still laying there struggling breathe and too uncomfortable to be in the "HOSPITAL. Do...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDr Kato gave orders to forcefully make me try and continue my tilt table test. I screamed and begged for the nurses to stop the test while dry heaving and trying to vomit. It was coming up in my throat and trying to choke me while tilted back at an angle. By then making this decision they have caused great harm to me physically and mentally and when I tried talking to him to his face I was laughed at and he nurse and Dr Kato went out in the hall and laughed to other staff about it. They were so happy to laugh about the harm they caused me they prescribed my medicine to my wife. Luckily she hadn't taken any. The hospital doesn't care either. They have sent proof they are trying to cover this up. There proof proves they are lying. I've let them know this multiple times and they just dug the hole of lies even deeper. I never finished the tilt table test. The hospital lied so that they would get insurance payment. This is fraud 101. God as my witness the nurse said I had 5 minutes left when they stopped the test and laid me down. The person that read the test said it lasted 30 minutes. The hospital sent me a letter trying to say it went 37 minutes. I given 3 different answers to cover tracks. Sad part is no one really cares about what they did that harmed a human. No one has checked on my health. They have only called to try and cover the hospital. You guys made a mistake that hurt me that day and you can't even own your own mistake. I begged and screamed so loud to stop the test and was pleading over and over to please stop. Lots of other staff heard my cry for help and they were stopped at the nurses counter. Sir on this day your orders tried to kill me and that's a fact. You made it a fact when you gave orders to go against the law and forced the nurses to make this choice to purposely cause harm to me. God knows what took place that day. God knows I'm telling the truth. Oh and the letter from baptist claims as soon as I started feeling any issue they stopped the test. Then why did I suffer and beg and plea for my life long enough to where I finally felt the nurses were trying to harm me so I started tearing the straps apart from the bed. This is when the got out of there chairs and said no no don't do that you'll fall. They made sure to hold me because the straps were loose and then one nurse said I'm stopping the test Mr Hamilton you are fixing to start going down. So the letter from the hospital is proof the hospital is lying and trying to cover there tracks. Now you guys will get mad I spoke truth. When a patient demands to stop that means stop. Oh and let me add when I first started feeling symptoms I asked the nurse was i supposed to fight it and she replied your body is naturally going to try to fight. So again here's more proof your test wasn't stopped when I first had symptoms like the letter from baptist says happened. You all should be...

Really everything went smoothly and it was the fastest in and out Iāve experienced in the last 15 surgeries⦠Thanks to all who were so kind and helpful. Loved Adrianne who helped get me in the holding area just before you are moved into surgery. She was attentive in this pre-op stage and especially when I was transferred on to the surgery table. This holding room and part just before I am put under is normally the section that my anxiety pops up but it didnāt happen this time! Special thanks to her for carrying a real peace and calmness. 10 stars out of 5 š
āāāā This was an older post I made after my last surgery in Nov 2024. Not sure why it populated now: MsJo was my nurse and she was incredible! I just have such admiration for her and watching her teach a young lady I guess was in training. She was patient and kind and knowledgeable ā¦making sure to thoroughly explain what needed to be done and why and tips you acquire and learn only after doing something for a while. Ms Jo was very attentive to me as well and made sure to help me when I was feeling sick and sweating from the heat in the room. She proactively thought to get a fan another nurse brought in for herself but this help me sooooo much to get through getting the vein work set up. And Ren was so very kind and personable when she took me into the surgery room and helped me feel relaxed and at ease as I went under. Bonnie has previously been my room nurse and she is an angel too. The lady who let us borrow her fan came in a couple times and was so genuine and kind. The nurse who sat with me after surgery was incredibly kind and gentle too. The anesthesiologist and his person in surgery room both were extremely kind and helpful in explaining things. Dr Bond is of course the kindest and most gentle doctor Iāve had. He is thorough and knowledgeable and always proactive which is a great attribute I appreciate. Overall what an amazing experience. I have to have my procedure done every four months so thank you for a great staff!! I know they would appreciate having the air conditioning system fixed so it isnāt unbearably cold or hot. Think management should take urgent measures to fix this. If not for the helpful nature of my nurses and having the fan I donāt know I would have been able to continue with the procedure. I was really sick and the heat was compounding issues. I know the staff was staying positive but it was really difficult situation for them. Please help make their working...
