I sent the following email to corporate, after a particularly concerning experience at Peppers last week. I have not experience that level of unprofessionalism in quite some time; I am deeply disappointed.
Greetings,
I am writing to relay an experience at your Columbus, MS location on December 30th. My family and I visited your establishment following a funeral & burial (I was visiting on bereavement leave). We ordered two sandwiches (a large and a regular) online under my mother's name-- a detail I mention as the manager said she sent you an email and the footage.
Upon leaving, we noticed that the sandwiches contained only a sparse amount of thinly shredded lettuce. My mother, having had to address similar issues previously, returned to request additional lettuce. The staff provided a small container of lettuce, but given it was intended for two sandwiches and considering my mother's preference for lettuce as indicated in her customer record, she requested more. The cashier checked twice with the manager, and gave us the price of lettuce. My mother mentioned we shouldn't be charged as the sandwiches didn't have much lettuce. I let down my window to show my sandwich.
The situation escalated when the manager intervened. She presented a larger portion of lettuce but did so rudely, instructing us to "stop holding up her line," and abruptly closed the service window before we could respond. My mother tapped the window to let the cashier know it wasn't her fault and wished her a Happy New Year.
Subsequently, I contacted the manager to discuss her conduct. I told her that her actions were uncalled for and unprofessional. She said that yelling at her staff was uncalled for---which never happened, as you can note from the video and audio footage she said she sent to you. Unfortunately, she repeatedly interrupted me during our conversation. When I mentioned the possibility of contacting corporate, she encouraged me to do so and prematurely ended the call, saying, "You should consider going to McAlister's in the future."
Our family has been customers of Sweet Peppers since the early 2000s, particularly loyal over the past few years. It is unfortunate that management behaved in such an unprofessional way and continued to escalate the situation even via phone. I believe this incident does not reflect the values...

Read moreI visited here for the first time during a short vacation. I ordered a taco salad along with other food. I got back to my hotel and my husband's food was missing the chili that goes with the taco salad. I called the restaurant and the manager Stuart told me to come back and he would make my order right. He remade me a salad, gave me soup and gave my son a delicious cheesecake dessert( which he gave to his sister to celebrate her 14th Birthday). The food was delicious. He had no idea that we were out of town guest but treated us with such professionalism and concern. He is definitely a great asset to this company. he knows how to accommodate and make up for mistakes. this went such a long ways with me as a customer. Mr. Stuart, you are alright in my book. I hope you tell him of this review. I was the young lady from Atlanta. You told me you had been there as well for a truck show. Keep up the excellent work! I plan to go back whenever I visit my family again My cousin recommended this place and it was indeed a...
