Update: went 6/17/23 and had a horrible experience. Doubt I'll be back anytime soon. Arrived at 7:30 on a Saturday evening before Father's Day. 1 hour wait. Understandable.
At 8:30 we asked for confirmation our name was on the wait list. Were told they were waiting for permission from kitchen to seat us......... Ok.....
The tables are about 2/3 empty. We can't sit because kitchen is overwhelmed yet the manager is right beside us taking call in orders and sending them to the kitchen. This is 80 minutes into our 60 minute wait. WHAT??!! STRIKE 1
85 minutes in, I ask if there is any hope of sitting down in the next 5 minutes. Manager says they cleaning out table off now. She claims the people just got up. I explain to her that, no, they had been empty for 20 minutes. I know because my hungry children and I have been eyeing them. STRIKE 2
We finally sit down to eat after 9:00 PM. We sit for another 10 minutes (at the least) waiting on a server. Keep in mind, at this point the restaurant is only half full. STRIKE 3
We place both our drink order and meal order. We wait another 10 minutes (at the least) for drinks. STRIKE 4
Drinks finally come out. My unsweet tea taste like it's been mixed with the sweet. I tell waiter and have to wait another 10 minutes for a replacement because they had to brew fresh. Ok...... Mistakes happen
We still have not got our bread. Tables around us that sat down after us have had theirs since they had barely sat down but not us. Salads come out and waiter comes by table, apologizes for everything taking so long and says he'll get us some bread as if it's something he's offering to us out of the kindness of his heart. STRIKE 5
Food comes out followed shortly thereafter with the bread. My red rock shrimp is cold. STRIKE 6
I know wait staff is in short supply and I'm not sure what all ours was doing but at the most he only had 1 other table he was dealing with. He was very scarce. I waited for quite some time for a refill. The manager went around checking on other tables but wouldn't even look at us. I pointed out to the waiter that my shrimp was cold, he offered to replace it. I declined as I was just ready to get out of there. He told the manager who offered to get me a fresh plate which I again declined. She tells me that we will be comped for it. Thanks! We finally get to from table at 10pm, 2.5 hrs after getting there.
The takeaway? Columbus struggles with good wait staff. Reminded us very much of an experience we had at Logan's a few years ago. Maybe restaurants shouldn't offer to go orders when they can't even seat people in a timely manner because of the kitchen. This also seems to be the experience of quite a few people I know.
Service: excellent! Food: bout as good as possible for a chain resteraunt. Will be...
Read moreThis is our first time in this place. We walked in 1:38. So I can't say if this visit is isolated or the norm. So we walked to the bar area sat at a table. 2 people at the bar. We waited 10 minutes before we stepped up to the bar and ordered. It took another 7 minutes to get our drinks. While we were waiting I counted 5 tables unbused from my vantage point. I decided to go chek out the bathroom...OMG So much for ordering food. I walked the rest of the tables, in all I counted 9 unbused tables. When I returned to my table about 20 minutes into our visit a waitress finally appeared. She did pass 2xs asking if we were ready to order. The first time was a few minutes after she delivered the menus and then another 4 minu. The next time was 5 minutes, again She came by about 5 minutes later and asked us if we were ready but kept walking. We told her we're ready and she rolled her eyes coming back to the table. That was rude. We settled for appetizers only., skipped the meal. When our appetizers were delivered my wife asked for another drink but without lemon the lady crossed her eyes again. We were finally served food at 233pm. A different lady delivered the drink she was very polite. She went back to the back. The one with the attitude works behind the bar.Noone wears name tags so it's hard to name names. I did forget to mention while we were waiting a guy came out of the kitchen slurping on a drink, he was wearing a gray pullover with hood and Calvin Klien on front. No uniform. He had a plate of food, hands all up in the food he asked , "where they at."he delivered the food slurping on his drink. I thought maybe an employee was on a break sitting in the back. I pursued this out of curiosity come to find out it was a patron. OMG who's running this show. Maybe Fluk visit...maybe not. We will visit one more time but will wait until things get cleaned up. . The appetizers we ordered were good by the way. When the lady delivered the tab I got her name as Sierra E. From the receipt. The tab was delivered at 253. I immediately placed my card out for a pick up. It was picked up at257. She apologized for the comtion at the bar. I tipped her neways Christmas eve and all. As we left, ironically I counted 11 people waiting to be seated. I heard the hostess say it was a 30 minute wait...what! Maybe if they bused those 8 tables it would not be a 30 minutes to wait, management needs to clean up...
Read moreWe have been going to the LongHorn, 2023 Highway 45N Columbus, MS 39705 location for the past couple of day due to the fact that my family has been displaced from our family home due to a flood.... the service received was descent, but on Monday night March 29th all that changed. We placed an order like we have done the previous day, after waiting to pick up, I go in to get our order and was then told that part of our order was not available...and that I could come back tomorrow to pick it up??? 😑😑 So I then ask, what compensation am I able to receive due to the wait and inconvenience... I was told...nothing... I could pick it up tomorrow or just get a voucher or refund.... no type of customer service, I even spoke to the manager Brad Cooper and he echoed the same. I explained that at the least a voucher or something could have been issued just to show some customers service. He just said sorry...and did nothing. So as a result I said I wanted my refund for the missing items and I would not return tomorrow. Leaving very annoyed I thought to myself the fact that my bill totaled over $90 this time and the fact, we spent over $ 175 in the past 3 day my simple request should have been granted, but instead I left LongHorn unsatisfied. To top thing off and I finally got to my room to eat, and realized my Redrock Grilled Shrimp meal...was just a 12 plan shrimp the rest of the meal was missing and my Lobster tail was missing....in addition to not having the 2 orders of Chicken Wings.😠😠 I quickly call LongHorn and was on hold for 20 min before someone answered and the we were "disconnected" I called right back and was on hold for another 10min when someone answered they told me to hold while they get the manager.... I HAVE BEEN ON HOLD FOR OVER 40min and no-one have picked up the call...I am still on hold as I am typing.....This experience has been horrible and a bad ending to an already...
