First time here and I didn't have a good experience. Maybe it was the evening crew. My brother says he eats there most of the time for lunch and it has always been a great experience. This was his first time having dinner here too and it was a stark difference from lunch. Our waiter though nice was hard to get to come back and get us what we needed. My sister ordered steak and grits and specifically said no pepper please. She CAN'T eat pepper. They brought out the steak slathered in pepper. One bite and she was turning blue. She took a bite of the grit and it had jalapeños in it 😳. Her tongue was on fire. That was a $28 meal that had to go. Oh well they had to take that off our bill as she was done at that moment. Someone in our party asked for BBQ sauce and that didn't come out till we got the check, paid and was ready to leave. Though the food was good for some in our party, service was wishy washy.

Was looking at various reviews and wanted to have lunch at a none national franchise. So I came across Jackson Grill. Came during lunch time so bar area was busy. Hostess opened the front door and greeted me with a smile, rare in this day of age and was a welcomed greeting after early morning travel. I sat at a booth and my server Jamie was equally as pleasant and eager to help after she knew this is my 1st time here. She recommended the Fried Cheese pepper jack for appetizer and for sandwich the Baja Tacos (Mahi Mahi). The appetizer was very good, though with me enjoying spicy stuff, maybe spicy marinara sauce would been great addition. Fish Tacos were equally as good and big portion. If I can add an extra thing to tacos it be extra limes (which I did). Over all great experience and highly do recommend it.

Loaded queso blanco, lump of chorizo, chips tasted stall. Took 25 minutes for 1st drink & was still waiting on a beer. Loaded chicken & sausage corn chowder. White corn, good chunks of potatoes & chicken, but a little shy on sausage. We'll seasoned. Chicken stock, almost creamy Cajun. Side of Brussel sprouts while finishing 1st round of drinks. Super soft, not fried. A little sweet. Blueberry Pineapple Sour was a smashingly good, tart cocktail, with Milagro Silver. Philly was good. Thinly sliced pieces of steak with Peppercino pepper added a nice alternative to the standard, steak was on the well crispy side. The NoLA Pasta looked like it died in the window, but was well seasoned & well portioned & the roll was so cute, but tasted like a TRH without the good butter.

I eat at the Grill in Columbus a lot I have given good reviews last Sunday September 1st was the first day I have been completely disappointed and with a visit and left without eating. I arrived about 12:45 booking a party of 7 they said the wait would be about an hour no big deal it’s Sunday and we have a group. After the estimated time for our table to be ready I went to the hostess stand and was told they were getting the table ready a few minutes later the manager comes to the hostess stand obviously asked about our table and they tell her they were waiting on her. We get seated right before 2 and ask about the brunch menu the waitress said she didn’t know how long it’d be in the system we’re confused because the online menu says brunch until 3 she takes our drink orders , doesn’t come back about the brunch menu so we asked someone passing by about a menu she comes back and let’s one of our party k now they don’t have the pomegranate mule so she orders something else. Another person asks about the brunch and if she could speak to someone because that’s not what the menu online she says sure seemingly pleasant and as she turns the corner we all hear her give a loud sigh of disgust of annoyance. We see the manager pass by and try to flag her down she says give me a minute almost dismissive. The drinks come with the drink that we were told they were out of ok no big deal the waitress comes over sees the drink on the table snatches it off the table and takes it away and says I don’t know what they’re doing we’re in disbelief. She then brings the drink back and one of our party tells her nothing about your service but you’re obviously frustrated and I don’t want this to seap into our food order we’re going to leave she huffily snatches all the menus off the table the manager comes over with the last 2 drinks which were refused we got tickets for the other drinks the manager never came over to diffuse , ask what happened or apologize for the conversation we paid and left and the manager was at the hostess stand when we left I have never had an experience like this at any Eat with Us establishment and I’ve been to them all in different cities. What a horrible experience and a shame that we had to go to a Mexican restaurant to receive great service our waitress was Destanee B. I worked in customer service over 10 years and this is some of the worse service I’ve received ! I sent this to Corporate on Sunday and have yet to receive any...

I am extremely disappointed with the service my party received at The Grill on Sunday, September 1st. Our server, Destanee B, exhibited a concerningly poor attitude throughout our visit.

We arrived at 1:00 PM with a party of 7 and were informed that brunch was served until 3:00 PM, as stated on the restaurant’s website. Despite this, we waited an hour to be seated. When we finally did, we asked for brunch menus. Destiny said she would check on them but never returned with them. After a second request, she approached our table with noticeable annoyance, which was quite unprofessional.

When taking our drink orders, Destiny initially told one of our guests that her drink could not be made. However, it did appear, only for Destiny to snatch it away and then bring it back with more evident disdain.

After this, we no longer wanted to be served by Destanee, or served at this restaurant, especially after the manager made no attempts to check on our table after we requested her assistance. At that time, we paid for our drinks (the ones we did get) and left to continue our afternoon at another local establishment.

Throughout the experience, Destiny made comments under her breath and audibly expressed her frustration. The manager also failed to check on our table or address the issues we encountered. This level of service is the worst I have ever experienced at this location, which I have frequented for years.

I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as the experience severely impacted what should have been an...

I ordered the Grilled Bayou Chicken for $7.99 and added mixed vegetables for $2.49. The entree was really good (Slightly over salted but good.) but my biggest problem was the portion size of the chicken. It looked to be, at most, 4 ounces. The chicken sat on big pile of mashed potatoes and the crawfish and cream sauce were great.

The service was excellent from beginning to end. I was greeted by four people when I walked in, including the manager. After being seated the manager came and introduced himself and shook my hand. Upon leaving the manager asked me how the food was, opened the doors for me and told me to have a blessed day.

The environment was somewhat formal, and although they are open for lunch, I assume they cater mostly to the evening setting.

Overall I give this restaurant a 3.5 stars (Even though I can't select that rating.). While they do an extremely good job making you feel comfortable I expected a more common sized chicken breast portion. If needed they should adjust the price upward to accommodate a typical entree size and from there, I believe with their great service, I would give them a 4...
