Today, Sunday, May 19th 2024, I returned to the store after one year. I stopped going because the service was terrible, and now it is even WORSE. In fact, this has to be the WORST store in Columbus, or even in the state (and maybe even in the country). I had never seen anything like what happened today. On Google, it clearly says that they close at 10 pm on Sundays, however, at 9 pm there was already a woman literally YELLING at all the customers saying that they were going to close. At first, I thought it was a crazy person in the store, but then I realized she was a current store worker. She yelled at everyone in such a rude manner and without the slightest respect. Then, some customers confronted her, saying that that was not the correct way to treat customers, but she continued yelling, and she even asked these customers why they went to shop so late... OMG! This woman should be fired. Her behavior was completely unacceptable. Later in line, she did not allow a man to pay for his items, and he complained saying that it was only 9:20 at night and that Google says the open hours are until 10 pm. She said that they wanted to go home, and that they had to do the cash register accounts, clean the store, etc. And the man told her that he understood, but that at least they should put a sign on the door showing the REAL time when they close. She was still very rude. She also said that her supervisor had ordered all of this. Burlington definitely has a BIG problem: the owners care ZERO about their customers. I am not going to completely blame the workers because, most likely they are so discourteous and rude because they are underpaid and the treatment towards them must be terrible too, and that is why they act the way they do, I don't know if in order to sabotage the store or what. Burlington should do a complete restructuring of EVERYTHING, and they should start by paying fairer wages so that more people want to work in their stores and do a good job. I've been reading other opinions complaining about the same thing about this store for a looong time, and the response from those who run the store is the same "we apologize", "we will do an investigation", "we take complaints seriously", "we offer you a gift so you return to the store". Please, save your response to me, because I know nothing is going to happen and your answers are a mockery. The only thing I wish would be that the real owners of this store would read all the customer reviews and take some kind of action to improve. As for me, I will NOT return to this store, and if someone doesn't mind being mistreated in the worst possible way, then they can continue shopping at Burlington in Main St. Marshall's and T.J.Maxx are a little more considerate of...
Read moreI went in there at 8:30 pm. I had already called 2 times before I went to ask about my return. I had the tags but no receipt, very nice girl on the phone told me I could look it up but the card or my phone number before resorting to store credit. I go in and wait in a long line. The girl i talked to and another girl we doing the cashier , the other girl whom i did not talk to , ended up checking me out. i told her i would like to return and item with no receipt and that i had spoke to the other lady on the phone about it. she proceeded to do a no receipt return and selected gift card , she scanned my id and i didn’t understand why . she told me my only option was a gift card. i said the lady i had spoke to told me we can try to look it up a few different ways first because i didn’t want a $75 gift card. she told me she tried. i said i had not entered my number or card so how did she try? then she got a rude attitude and rolled her eyes, she called the girl who i spoke to on the phone over and the girl asked if she looked it up by debit card and she said yes. i cut in and said that she had not tried anything yet at all. she then asks for my id again and i turned it over for her to scan and she proceeds to say “this a whole different id”. i said “excuse me” she said “the first id went up and down” i then flipped my id over to show her it was the same one i just had it turned. she knew she was in the wrong . she then looked it up by my card like i asked and sure enough my receipt was there. i work in retail and i know it can be hard but catching an attitude without even trying what i asked to try then accusing me of using a different id is absurd. The cashiers name...
Read moreRecently visited this store for a few last minute Christmas gifts. I had not been to this store in years, but remembered they used to have really good deals back in the day. Shopping was fine and I did find some great deals. However I had a horrible experience during check out. I purchased nearly $100 worth of merchandise consisting of multiple heavy sweatshirts, purses, slippers and various stockings stuffers. The cashier was an older woman who looked as if she really did not want to be there. She began to bag my purchased items in one giant bag. I asked if I could please have it bagged in two separate bags and she said "No we don't give extra bags." I explained that I was not asking for an "extra" bag but for my very large order to be put into two bags so it would be more manageable. She went on to tell me, very rudely that "look you get one bag per person and that's it" at this point I asked for a Manager. This is when she said, "I'll give you another bag this time, but next time you know you are only getting one bag" this interaction seemed so weird especially since there seemed to be hundreds of the white plastic bags available. These were not special bags or anything. As I walked away I said under my breath " ridiculous" and she YELLED, " THEN DON'T COME BACK!!!" Burlington please do better!!!!! Btw I will...
