These apartments are located directly adjacent to Easton Commons and I, as a resident of EC, was mistakenly using the gym facility associated with Easton Place Homes due to lack of signage and the door to the facility coming straight open despite requiring key fob entry. I was under the impression this was an Easton Commons facility. I was watched upon my arrival by a middle aged white man from the balcony above. As I sat on the rowing machine alone in the gym this man opened the door, blocking the only exit, and introduced himself as Josh the property manager. He was not in uniform nor did he show me a badge to identify himself, I later learned he was here watching the property on his âday offâ. He went on to ask my address. As a young woman being asked her address in a room all alone with a man and the only exit being blocked I was very nervous. He left and came back when my partner came by on their bike to pick me up and further confronted us, blocking the door with his body and arm a second time. His demeanor was superficially pleasant but highly aggravated insofar as getting red in the face and complaining vehemently about members of MY community destroying HIS property, coupled by feverish hand movements and an escort off the property. He asked our address again and explained that this is an Easton Place Homes facility which I was unaware of for the duration of this event. He told me if I wanted to use their facilities to make friends with a neighbor and that I âhave that kind of face,â whatever that means. My partner was absolutely thrilled by that commentary as you can imagine. I totally respect that he is just doing his job, keeping the amenities just for the residents and I would expect EC staff to do the same although I hope they would be kinder, less confrontational, ensure they can identify themselves via uniform or badge, and be aware of the optics of a stranger man blocking the only exit of a room a young woman is alone in. I understand this may have just been an inappropriate externalization of frustration but regardless of his intention, this interaction left both my partner and I shaken. Maybe a functioning fob system will square this away in the...

I recently moved into Easton Place, and I truly believe I was guided here not just to find a new home, but to meet someone who would change the way I see what âhomeâ really means. That person is Yvette Young.
From the moment we first toured the property, Yvette treated me with nothing but compassion, warmth, and genuine care. She didnât just hand me a key and send me on my way she took hours (yes, HOURS) walking me through every available unit, answering every single question, and never once making me feel rushed or like I was a burden. Her patience is something rare and beautiful. She poured her time, energy, and heart into making sure we found not just a place to live but a place we could belong.
You can see it in her eyes and hear it in her voice: Yvette puts her blood, sweat, and tears into Easton Place. She treats every tenant like family, and I donât say that lightly. She makes you feel seen, heard, and most of all welcome. My family and I were nervous about moving, about change, about starting over but Yvetteâs kindness and dedication made that transition feel effortless. Because of her, this place already feels like home.
Yvette didnât just lease me an apartment she invited me into a community. And the sense of belonging I feel here is 100% thanks to her. The pride she takes in her work is unmatched, and I truly hope the world recognizes how special she is. If youâre lucky enough to meet her, youâll know exactly what I mean.
Thank you, Yvette, from the bottom of my heart. Iâm beyond grateful.
A very thankful...
