Hotel Review: Residence Inn Easton
This was, without a doubt, the worst hotel experience I've had in years. The service, staff, and price were completely mismatched. The rooms were infested with bugs—specifically centipedes. I found over five in my room alone, and the hallways were no better. When I reported this to the front desk, their solution was to suggest I go to the store and buy bug spray myself! Unbelievable.
To make matters worse, I received a call from a manager asking for my name, how long I had been in the room, and how long I planned to stay. I responded that my name was Mariano, and my reservation was until October. The manager’s reply? "Oh okay, we had the room marked as vacant and didn’t know anyone was in it." Ridiculous!
The staff seemed completely untrained and inexperienced. They would tell you one thing, knowing full well it was a lie. I had to repeatedly ask for more towels and for my room to be cleaned because they wouldn’t even follow their own policies. The hotel is supposed to provide a weekly refresh where they replace towels, make the bed, and take out the trash, with all linens being changed at the end of the week. None of this happened during my stay.
The air conditioning was another major issue. I called the front desk twice because it wasn’t working properly. They sent someone to "fix" it both times, but it still barely functioned. I ended up having to buy a fan to make the room bearable. I had a two-bedroom suite and tried to find another hotel with a similar setup, but unfortunately, everything else was booked.
The final straw was the Wi-Fi outage. The Wi-Fi went out in one of the buildings, causing the TVs and internet to be unavailable. I notified the front desk toward the end of July, but nothing was done. I walked in multiple times to remind them, yet still no resolution. I finally asked them to escalate the issue, and they assured me it had been. When I returned from work, they told me the Wi-Fi was fixed, but when I got to my room, there was still no service. Their "solution" was to suggest I go to another hotel in the area because the Easton Residence Inn didn't have Wi-Fi. Unbelievable!
Eventually, I had to leave this nightmare of a hotel in early August, despite my reservation being until October. I moved to the Residence Inn in Polaris, which is a completely different experience. They actually clean the rooms, stock supplies, and provide excellent customer service. For anyone considering the Easton Residence Inn—don’t. For some additional information: all the hotels in Easton are owned by the same management/owner. Even though it’s under its the same name the owner and management at the Polaris location are different. My stay at Polaris has been fantastic in comparison. Avoid the Easton location...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of staying at Residence INN during my visit to Easton. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was impressed by the impeccable cleanliness and welcoming atmosphere.
The staff, particularly Aliye , went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was nothing short of exceptional. Their friendliness and genuine concern for my comfort were evident from the start. Aliye took the time to listen to my needs and preferences, and their attention to detail ensured that every aspect of my stay was taken care of.
The cleanliness standards at Residence Inn are truly remarkable. Every corner of the hotel, from the lobby to the rooms, exuded freshness and tidiness. It’s evident that the staff takes great pride in maintaining a pristine environment for their guests.
What truly sets this Residence Inn apart is their willingness to go above and beyond to fulfill customer requests. Whether it was arranging transportation, recommending local attractions, or accommodating special dietary needs, the staff at Residence Inn was always eager to assist with a smile.
Overall, my experience exceeded all expectations, thanks in large part to the exceptional service provided by the exceptional staff. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a comfortable, clean, and welcoming stay in Easton. Thank you for making my visit...
Read moreLocation is great! We have made an annual family trip to Easton every year for the past 12 years. We normally stay at The Hilton, shop, and then eat at the Ocean Club. Unfortunately this year The Hilton was booked on the only Saturday our family of 6 could make our schedules work. We booked 3 rooms at Residence Inn by Marriott. It didn't have the greatest reviews but we didn't want to break tradition and it was recently updated. Rooms seemed nice upon entry. Loved the setup. We did the shopping, went out to dinner and returned back to our rooms. There was a used bandaid at the end of the bed on the floor 🤢. Then I went to make coffee(for the morning) and there were used coffee pouches in the pot. I called the front desk to let them know, they apologized and said they would talk to the manager about a discount since it was too late to switch rooms. This could be a great hotel if they had better / more thorough housekeeping staff. Also, they have a $100 NON REFUNDABLE pet fee. We have an 8 pound shih tzu that couldn't cause $100 worth of damage if we left her there alone for a week! (Not that we would 😉) I think that non refundable fee is extremely excessive. Husband said they had a nice spread for breakfast but I was...
