Gordon Food Service Store — Local services in Columbus

This is where we go about every three months to stock our freezer. The quality you find here can't be found at your local grocery. So we plan this trip and get excited over it. Not your usual response to shopping for groceries. But we have never got a bad piece of meat here. I have a large smoker so we get our beef brisket here. I have one smoking right now. I have smoked two briskets from local stores and they weren't good at all. Terable cuts. But buying a whole brisket from GFS they are always just perfect. Friends line up when they know we're smoking. But not just the fresh meat, but the frozen sausage is delicious and the shoestring fries, breaded mudgrooms, onion rings..I can go on. Big boxes, but worth every penny. I love this store. And the people who work there are outstanding. Very helpful and kind. Rare these...

Have ordered online twice and they can't seem to be able to read their own orders. I have been a business customer there for many years and now I am considering getting bulk items exclusively from Sam's or the restaurant Depot. When I called to tell the manager that sizes and quantities were wrong I could not even get an apology until I asked for one. I am not a bit happy about it. I was sent the wrong register tape not enough straws or napkins and frozen items I asked for fresh. I am not sure how to get things done at my business with that kind of service. The manager kept trying to come up with reasons that his employee was not wrong rather than try to...

Visited the store today with my mother and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The associate cashier in the front (Lexie) was so pleasant and kind when we asked a question regarding our membership, even though she had a long line. Also as we walked through the store all the Associates were very helpful and pleasant. Moreover, the shift manager that helped us with our membership(Greg Fields) was amazing. He answered all questions we asked with detail, and took the time to make sure all the formation on our account was updated! Bravo GFS Foods...we are...
