Taco Bell is owned by Yum! Brands, which purchased the company from its creator, Glen Bell. Yum! Brands also owns KFC and Pizza Hut. The creator of Taco Bell, Glen Bell, had a personal mission along with many philosophies about food, people and business that contributed to the early success of Taco Bell. On the company's website, a quote from Glen Bell states "You create the person you become."
Bell grew up poor, and he had worked since he was very young to help support his family. In 1943, he was deployed overseas as a Marine, where he honed the skills of purchasing, cooking and managing food to be served to the masses. Given the opportunity to go into business for himself, Glen Bell thought it was important to bring good food to hard-working Americans on a budget and started out selling burgers, a business he funded by selling his sister's refrigerator. The endeavor thrived, and the successful businessman later revolutionized the fast-food market in the 1950's by selling the very first fast-food taco. In the 1960's, Glen Bell decided the architecture of his restaurant needed a more authentic feel and commissioned an architect to revamp the company's look by designing the mission-style aesthetic that most Taco Bells across the globe still sport today. Taco Bell now has over 6,000 restaurants across the...
Read moreThis is my usual stop several days a week. Mobile order for lunch easy, fast, correct.
Today was not the case I placed my order and got in the drive through got to the window and they were busy so I hung out no rush about 15 minutes roll by and I get my food head home. The crunch wrap I ordered had BBQ sauce on it. To each their own but it was gross so I went back with my uneaten food because it’s all going to be cold and asked for just the food to get remade that I brought with me.
The manager on duty was horribly rude, raising her voice, asking why I didn’t check my food like I’m going to bite into my food in the drive through this carried on to the point where the line crew and drive through cashier took care of me they were awesome but the whole time you can hear her yelling in the back and then when she brought me the food I made sure to check my freaking food by biting into it to make sure I met her satisfaction.
I understand work sucks and food service is worse but I didn’t come in throwing a fit or anything, just looking for correct, fresh food. It’s my store I like the crew but that’s not how we...
Read moreI went to this location a couple of nights ago. It started out that the kid doing the drive thru was talking to my friend, but at the same time, he kept talking to a co-worker inside. We had a fairly good size order which was ALL put in one larger size bag. The bad ripped at the top almost immediately. WELLLLL, when we got home, my food was at the bottom (I ordered an Enchirito and a Mexican pizza). My friend got nachos bell grande and a burrito. My pizza was at the very bottom and half of it was all stuck to the top lid. It was not edible. My Enchirito had completely lost all of the sauce -;which was all in the bottom and all over the sauce packets and the napkins. I called this place as soon as we got home and asked to speak to a mgr. I apologized for complaining, but had said the order was uneatable (mine for the most part). So I just told her to have her employees pack the bags better. She said she would pass that along and that was it. She could've cared less. I don't even live in Ohio, but begged my friend to take me there. I had to have an Enchirito!! Worst Taco Bell...
