RESPONSE TO WHOEVER THE RESPONDER IS: (NOTICE HOW THEIR SCAMMING STAFF WASN’T ADDRESSED IN THEIR RESPONSE) Let me start by saying I would NEVER smoke around my 4 year old child, not that kind of person. I was smoking outside but I will admit I was close to the door because of how cold it was. They didn’t want to believe it so I said whatever and left. They NEVER saw smoke in the room. I was already in the restroom starting to undress for a shower.
The guy that came to check on me and my son was not trying to cover any smell he sat on the bed the entire time, including while I was OUTSIDE smoking. Just because they finally found some coins to fix that place up a little doesn’t mean it’s any safer and it’s STILL dirty (baseboards, lamp shades, shower curtains, window curtains, couch stains, etc). Your staff was VERY rude and made it seem like I was there because I HAD to be. You may have called my apartment manager the next day but that rude girl called her that night because my apartment manager called me saying she left a voicemail (which is when she forgot to hang up and was heard talking to the “GM” about what they WANTED to charge for the deposit) and when I told her about it she was much more upset at the different deposit amounts she was given. She herself said I’m grown and what I do in my free time has nothing to do with anyone.
My point is they could have been much more professional about it. I wasn’t putting up a fight or causing any problems because I didn’t need to be there. They tried to talk to me like I was a child “I’m gonna call A* and tell her” so what?? They took it way too seriously and they were definitely being dramatic about the smell being on TWO FLOORS. Let’s be real. Either way this location has scamming staff with bad attitudes. Just because I smoke doesn’t make me a bad person. Tell home girl she’s doing a lot of extra work for a little $15 an hour job and she should be careful how she talks to people because somebody who really don’t play that will smack her in the mouth. She doesn’t get paid enough to do all that but I guess that’s where the scam comes into play.
Wish I could give them no stars.
First off, they’re scammers. They’re on a voicemail talking about changing the deposit amount after they thought they hung up.
There was a situation where I went outside to smoke and the smell dragged in with me so they thought i was smoking in the room. They didn’t wanna hear me and told me I had to leave. I said fine and they still wanted to argue. They wanted me to beg them to stay in their room where the bathroom smelled like complete sewage. I used half a can of frebreeze to mask the smell. The black girl with a longer face and the GM was who I dealt with. They thought I didn’t have anywhere to go like I HAD to stay there when I was only out there by my apartment manager after a small electrical fire that happened. I’m glad they feel good about themselves kicking out a 4 year old child.
Then my son’s dad came to check on us because if you know that area you know the crime and drugs that happen in that exact area. Because he was there and looked comfortable they assumed he was staying there too. Homegirl with the bad attitude thought she was doing her big one by calling my apartment manager AT NIGHT trying to “snitch” on me like I was supposed to get in trouble. Well she ended up getting herself caught up. Next time make sure the phone is hung up before you start talking about to scam people. This place needs new management because she was literally talking to the GM. I can only imagine the amount of people they’ve scammed. I’m sure I’ll see them on the news for...

This is for check in 6/11/2024 and check out 6/12/2024. We arrived there around 12:30 AM they would not let me use the credit card in my name with ID because the reservation was in my husband’s name because he is the 24 year Diamond Choice Member and the reservation had to be under his name to get the points. I found out from customer service @ 2:00AM they could have. Taken my credit card with ID with him there. Then it took forever for his card to work.
When we get into the room and start getting the sofa sleeper pulled out it has DIRTY NASTY sheets. Crumbs and stains. 🤮 not to mention the bathroom smelled like sewage. I marched out to the front desk to inform the desk clerk. He said “Can I see?” My response was, “ You most certainly you can.” What was I going to say, no? 🙄
The desk clerk changes our room and gives us 2 queen (like he was doing us a favor). My husband said no because of my shoulder injury and all of the pillows needed we needed a king. That's what we paid for. We ended up settling for the 2 queen because it was taking so long. I saw on the website they still had kings available. I really don’t know what his problem was.
2nd room. This one had someone else's shirt left in the drawer. The sofa bed was not made. No linens in the room. At this point I question how clean the room really is. 🤢 this one also smells like sewage.
Again I marched out to the desk. I have to say at this point I am not happy at all. While he is dealing with my husband I am calling customer service. The desk clerk brought linens and handed them my son. Now we have paid for a room that was not what we paid for and we have to make the bed ourselves at 2:00AM. 😤I won't take my shoes off and walk on the floor. I don’t trust to take a shower. I did not want to go pee because of the smell. Then my husband saw peanuts on the floor near the bed I was on and said the floors had not been vacuumed. He also said the exhaust fan in the bathroom was not working at all. He tested it (this is his job). The awful smell is probably mold we were smelling.
We got to bed about 3:00AM and a much later start for the next long day of travel.
Checking out. The Assistant manager was there and I gave her an ear full. Her response was, I will let the general manager know and have a talk with the desk clerk from the night before. She stated the general manager would call me within the next couple of days. We are at 7/6/2024 and NO CALL. Choice customer service said we would get a call from the general manager. Again and still no call. My next call is to the health department. If they do not have enough respect to call their customers back at address the problems I guess customers will have to address the problems them selves.
My husband has been a Diamond member for 24 years and has NEVER experienced this before. There are many other chains that would appreciate loyal customers more than this.
**The stay was on 6/11/2024. It has taken this long to calm down and have enough time to note accurately what happened. Not to mention we were on our way to an out of state wedding, traveled back, then traveled to...
Read moreAt 3:30 am a bedbug went running across the pillow right in front of our eyes. My first reaction was to freak out but my son quickly snapped a pic and I grabbed it and through it in the sink. I went downstairs to the front desk where I showed him the pic and he replied by asking us if we “could show him the bug?” … I told him that after we grabbed a quick pic because it was quickly running across the pillow and we didn’t want it on our bed that I grabbed it and through it down the sink. He basically accused us of lying and said we should of kept it. He did offer to move us rooms but I initially said no to because as a nurse I know that if there’s one bug there’s more on the property and a new room doesn’t garuntee no bugs. After returning to my room though it quickly became realized that no one was going to be able to sleep so we decided to take him up on the offer. When I went back down and told him we would he then told me that supposedly there was only ONE room left in the whole hotel and it was a king bed only and we needed a double bed. We honestly wanted to leave but it was the middle of the night, the car ride home was almost three hours and we had been drinking. He said the next morning we could speak to the manager. We didn’t sleep a wink and went down to speak to her. Again, we showed the pic and she literally told us it was a “hair ball”. We replied that hair balls do not run across pillows swiftly and how hard it is to catch a pic of it before it was about to disappear down the back side of the bed. She was beyond rude and condescending. She said there was absolutely NO WAY that there was bed bugs. We never even mentioned a refund to her before she abruptly told us if that was what we were expecting to forget it. My mom asked for a later checkout so we could try to get some rest before having to drive and she offered one hour, she could feel we were still displeased and then said we could have two. When I checked out and gave her the keys I let her know whether she thinks we were lying or not that in fact 100 percent, so doubts, no chances we saw something and misinterpreted… that there was a full grown bug that had been on the pillow. When we got home we were all scared to bring them home and threw out all our luggage and immediately bagged up anything we took with us and took it to a laundry mat costing about $40 to wash and dry. A loss of about $300 in luggage. And to top it all off, my son had clear bed bug bites on his legs. It ruined our whole entire night and the whole feel of our trip out of town to otherworld. I understand that these are a problem for hotels and I’m sure everyone does their best to prevent them, but the fact is clear that you had them and the staff treated us like liars. I am a traveling nurse and stay often at hotels and it seems to me that the $150 I spent on the room was more important to them then any of my future visits where I would stay for weeks and spend way more. So I guess it was a $150 lesson that I do not want to give comfort suites my business. If the whole situation would of been handled differently by the staff, then I don’t think I would be...
