I wish I would have taken a picture. The store was a huge mess. I went because someone had told me they had pajama sets on clearance from Christmas for$6. The way the pajamas section looked, I thought they must be. The 3 piece pajama sets that are supposed to be all nicely folded together with a bow (and were supposed to have top, bottom and socks) were all split up and out of the wrapping. Some parts on a table, some parts hanging on a rack and other parts missing entirely. I spent an hour sorting though this and managed to assemble 3 sets. Only one had the price on it, and the exact same set had a different price on it, so I figured they may not have the full discount on them and was hopeful. When checking out, I asked the cashier if I could get a discount since the sets are not in the wrapping. She was very rude. She looked at me like I was trying to steal something and said, "ugh, no you don not get a DISCOUNT because they're not in packaging!" I said sorry, and told her I only asked because they were supposed to be together so they could be given as a gift. They originally had a bow holding the 3 pieces of the set together. After she priced them at over $20 each (and definitely not even thinking about giving me a discount for the condition the sets were in), I said I'll just get one set because I really love it, and that I thought the price might be lower than it was. She picked up the tag, points to the sticker on it and said, "Are you saying the price is WRONG?" I said no, I just thought since an identical set was marked a couple dollars higher that it might have not been updated with a lower price. She was so rude to me. I work in customer service, and if she were my employee, she would have been fired for get behavior. Maybe she was having a bad day, but you are not supposed to take out your anger on customers.
In short:
It was a horrible experience and I highly advise AGAINST shopping here, especially this particular location. I personally will probably never shop at Kohl's again. No workers were anywhere to be seen; not to help customers nor trying to straighten up the clothing department. Went to Olentangy store first as they sell watches, they tell me that the watch is now priced at $400, which is wrong. I come to this store to return the watch as it's defective. I wasn't asking for normal retail price. I wasn't asking for cash. I was simply asking for store credit at the sales price it's listed at, which is the lowest it's sold for. I was given the run around, and told that I could buy it from a. Different store, then return the first one after I do that. Other than that I can take it to Meijer and see if they will fix it. It's not their problem and there's nothing they can do about the watch. Extremely rude, brushed off and told I will need to get a hold of my family member that it's a gift from, get back with them, (impossible, as I just lost this member, but since they were accusatory, I didn't want to even mention this, afraid this would be brought up somehow in a derogatory manner. Honestly, from the time I entered, I was treated a way that made me feel very unwelcome. It was clear they were not going to help after a small amount of time. All I wanted to do was exchange a product bought with Kohl's and get another item. Read moreAssociate Avriel at the front entrance of the store greeted me with a big 😁 smile and directed me to where I needed to go which made my shopping experience quick and easy to get back to the self-checkout and out the store. Avriel also made sure I had no problems at the self-checkout. She reminded me to put in my phone number to see if I had any Kohl's rewards and I did which made me even happier that what I purchased was discounted at a better price! Great job Avriel! 👍🏽👍🏽
This time I would like to recognize two Kohl's associates that left an incredible impression on me, and those two individuals are Rachel at the front check out registers, she's always up beat and friendly and eager to ring out my items! And there's Ismail back at the Amazon return desk. This young man is going to go far in life if he continues to be very polite, courteous, and does his job efficiently! He is the only associate at this desk that has actually explained to me the return process, and I have returned several Amazon items over the years. And he has such a pleasant smile and disposition for a young handsome man these days. If you know what I mean!
