LÖ-LU Nordic Sauna — Local services in Columbus

LÖLU is a gem. Admittedly I'm a little biased as the owner, Wade, is my brother. It's been a treat to witness the inception of LÖLU as a novel idea to it coming to fruition. Certainly go for the excellent sauna experience, but let's face it - you can only actively sauna so much and breaks are necessary. During those breaks I think sauna-goers will get as much or more from their interactions with Wade. When he isn't LÖLU's owner/operator he is pursuing his side hustle as an Ohio State economics professor. He also has a wide range of hobbies including hang-gliding, wood working, chess, gardening, unicycling, etc - he is an excellent conversationalist and overall lovely human. Wade and his family have curated such a good environment here through his natural skills in acts of service and conversation. The sauna itself is such a lovely experience while feeling genuinely cared for at the same time. I feel like going consistently through the winter helped with my depression and adapticity to the cold. My family is hosting a Finnish exchange student for a month. He desperately missed sauna, so I googled it and found Lo-Lu and Wade. He kindly scheduled an appointment for us at our convenience and my husband, son, and exchange son had a great time. Our Finn said it was very much like sauna at home!
