First, I’ll share that I would come again; however, instead of ordering through a delivery app I’d come in person to make specific requests to the order. We ordered the chicken cheese kebab roll and the chicken Bihari roll with samosas.
The samosas were beautiful, perfectly crisp and flavorful— not sure what this red sauce is called, but it was sweet, mildly spiced, and paired perfectly.
Now let’s get into the rolls — The chicken cheese kebab was okay, it was flavorful but did not come as expected. The roll didn’t appear to have cheese, was loaded with salad and an excess of King’s sauce. After reviewing the description again upon receiving the order, the website does indicate salad and sauce; however the image assigned to this item is very different from what you’ll receive. My Bihari roll was flavorful and well spiced, it came as advertised however my only disappointment was that the roll was also drowning in sauce!! It’s truly a shame because I genuinely wanted to experience the complex flavors of the meat. You cannot taste the true depth of flavors coming through the meat because they’re competing with the sauce. Overall it wasn’t super enjoyable to eat because there was WAY too much sauce.
My sincere, unsolicited suggestions to the chefs— PLEASE let the proteins shine, don’t hide these beautiful spices with sauce, truly, the sauce only needs to complement the entree. I’m sure you’ve spent hours marinating the meat, followed by cooking the proteins to perfection; let us taste the crispy edges formed on the grill!! Additionally, please update the images or descriptions assigned to the food on the website/delivery apps; it may also be beneficial to add options for how saucy folks want their food to be(i.e, no sauce, light, regular, heavy). If the rolls were not so soggy, this review would’ve...
Read moreIMPORTANT: this food truck DOES NOT USE GRUBHUB.
I found this place on Google Maps while trying to find somewhere to pick up dinner on my way home from work. Google suggested ordering through GrubHub, which I did. But when I went to pick up my food, they told me they weren't on GrubHub and thus never received my order (in my opinion, this is 100% Google and GH's fault, not the business owner!).
He recommended ordering some dishes that could be prepared quickly, told me I should request a cancellation and refund through GH, and even walked out of the truck to bring my food to me in my car when it was ready (with a bonus soft drink for my troubles, even though the ordering fiasco was not their fault!)
Anyway--great customer service. I know mixups like this can happen with online food-ordering services. It was a little frustrating, but the delay was negligible and the guys running the truck were so nice! Also, I think ordering directly at the truck cost about 15% less than through GH.
On to food: We got the chicken kabob roll, lamb platter, and side of naan. Everything was DELICIOUS. The meats were well-seasoned, vegetables were fresh, and sauces were rich and complementary. Their seasoned rice is SO GOOD!
Also, the lamb platter was a pretty big portion, and they definitely didn't skimp on lamb. Enough for dinner and leftovers for lunch! We were really impressed and will definitely...
Read moreA loved one informed me of this location and the food is amazing. By the way it is 100% HALAL!
We chose the Chicken Chapli Burger, Chicken Seekh Kabab, Samosa Chaat and Garlic Naan. The BURGER was a GREAT size, smelled amazing and tasted even better. The KABABS were so tender, flavorful and juicy, I want them again even as I type this. The SAMOSA CHAAT was gone before I got an opportunity to taste it so it’s safe to assume it was delectable. The NAAN baked traditionally in a tandoor was fresh, delicious an tasty even on it’s own. (Who doesn’t love some tasty naan?)
In conclusion, the food is GREAT, the portions are GREAT and so are the prices. Definitely try this...
