My old couch from Ashley's that I'd only have four/five months started to have support issues. It was not very expensive, under $1,000 so I gave it to my nephew and went to lazy boy. I bought a $3,000 couch that had two sides that are recliners. I was convinced to buy the floor model or I would have to wait 8 weeks. I could not wait eight weeks because I was having a major surgery on my hip. I was assured over and over again that the couch would give me the support I needed. There would be no point in buying one that did not. So I bought it and brought it home. Within three weeks the whole back of one of the sides was caving in. 90% of the support was gone. I contacted lazy boy and they're more than willing to assess the problem on August 31st. I have to wait 30 days for them to just look at it. I am completely disgusted. I asked several times if the couch was okay and would not cave in like my other couch did. my surgery was 8 days ago and I can already feel the additional pain from not having the support I need. They felt 30 days was plenty of time but apparently they don't know what it's like to have surgery, apparently it doesn't wait for a new couch. Would I recommend lazy boy? Absolutely not. This is close to deceptive as again I paid extra to get a floor model because (I needed it so quickly)couch in a very quick time. Obviously they were just trying to get rid of it. I am...
Read moreI am a handicapable person who needs a cane. I am unable to stand long or walk very far. As we entered the building, my daughter and myself, we found a wheelchair for customer use. I was impressed by the thoughtfulness. Some of that quickly wore away however as I, a large man was barely able to fit into the narrow wheelchair. They really need the wider style as many older people are overweight. Anyway we were cordially greeted by a lady who asked what my interest was. I told her I wanted to see what they could show me in massage recliners, having purveyed the website through the early morning. Lenna Finch cheerfully asked us to follow her to 3 floor models. I tried all 3 and the cordial Ms. Finch quite knowledgeably answered all my questions but one without help. The sole question, she quickly found the answer to after a brief hiatus. While trying out the controls of the 3 it quickly became apparent only the Easton model met my height requirement with my feet touching the floor. After checking stock, Ms. Finch quickly wrote a receipt for the chair. My only regret was it would take 10 days before delivery. Two days before my 65th birthday. A wonderful present! Much thanks to Ms. Lenna Finch. I highly recommend her. By the way, this is my 2nd La-Z-Boy massage/heat recliner. They are a great lounge chair and...
Read moreIn May 2021, I purchased 2 recliners at the Polaris store and placed a large deposit at the time of purchase. Was told delivery would be in October 2021. On September 9th 2021, I called the laz y boy Polaris store for a delivery status. Talked to my sales rep (Abby) and she told me that one was scheduled for November and the other for March 2022 and she didn’t know the reason for the 2 different dates. She said she would call the factory and call me back by the following Wednesday 9/15/21. No call back received so I again called for Abby on September 15 and talked with kalie. Kalie said Abby was with a customer and would return my call. No call back received, so I again called laz y boy store on 9/20 and talked with kalie. Was told Abby was not working and she would have her return my call on Wednesday 9/22. No return call on 9/22 from Abby. I again called the laz y boy store on 9/23 and talked with Abby - she stated that both her and the store manager (Shawn) sent emails to their production center to get a status update and have not heard anything and didn’t have a plan to follow up with the plant. I asked to speak with Shawn and she said he was with customer and she would have him call me back. 24 hours later- no call back. I can’t get anyone to...
