This was my first time visiting Noir as a local who commonly gets gel x extensions at other small nail businesses in Columbus. I purposely picked Michelle as my nail tech due to her good reviews online prior to going in. When my appointment time came, I showed her a picture of nails I was wanting for my upcoming birthday and work events. Important to note that when I called and talked to someone to make the appointment, I told them I wanted nail art so the time would be extended. I told her I had another set I would be happy to do as well if the set I showed her was too intricate. She said she could absolutely do it so I moved forward. She she started doing the base, the nails looked different from each other, the sheer pink base coat looked good on most but there wasnāt enough polish applied to a couple of them, so they looked more clear.I mentioned this and she said they would look the same at the end although I know a little more polish was needed on a couple from experience. She started doing the nail art which I could tell was not similar to the picture. I acknowledged more then once that I knew it wonāt look the same as the picture which is totally expected; however instead of adding color to just the very tip she was doing half the nail as the nail art color which I did not want. I asked about this and she immediately got irritated at me and said I was causing her ātoo much pressureā and itās not going to work, she said āI donāt want to do this anymoreā. She was very rude, making it seem like I was being unreasonable when I asked her from the very beginning if she had the ability / time. At this point her next client walks in, even if she continued she would have been totally off on the timing. She asked me to pick a basic color to do, I showed her a color and said do you have something like this and she said with irritation AND a rude tone āno we donāt have that, every salon is different, they donāt have the same colorsā acting like I didnāt know that was common knowledge. She ruined my experience and made it sour which was unnecessary. This was distasteful and as a professional in the sales and customer service industry, I try to lead with grace but she crossed the line with her unprofessional attitude and misjudgment.

I have been coming to this salon for over a year, and never had any issues with any of the nail techs or previous owner. Since Michelle and John took over, the entire atmosphere has been uncomfortable and unwelcoming. I was supposed to have an appointment on 12/10/23. I was never notified that the salon was closed on that day or that no one would be working. No one answered when I called the number. Upon reading reviews on Vagaro and Yelp, I've learned that Michelle and John have fired nearly the entire staff. Even more concerning, when I looked at the current list of employees, it would certainly seem that they fired everyone except for the ones who are white-passing and not pregnant. Such a shame that the new ownership is moving in such a terrible direction, because this was such a wonderful salon. And it also has looked like the new owners (in their response to negative reviews) accused the nail techs of being the reason (which is libel) rather than taking responsibility and accountability for their own failings as business owners and then gaslighting clients by saying weāre the ones making defamatory statements. No problem I went on my lunch break to fix it and when getting them fixed the guy stated that usually they would charge class pass customers as they are not subject to their āregularā clients policy but that he wouldnāt charge me this time. When I asked why they do this he stated because the service is āfreeā with class pass but I pay monthly to class pass for different classes and services. As well I paid a little over $40 with all the add ons and tip. I am still a paying customer and I deserve the same customer service anyone would get entering the salon. I am very disappointed as I loved my nails but because of this will not be returning. If you as a business cannot take the ālossā of fixing one chipped nail because said person paid 20 dollars or so less than what you actually charge maybe class pass isnāt for you.
