I love Yats for their portion sizes, tastes, and price! You get a lot of flavor for not a lot of bucks. You can order a full size of a dish, or a half size, or do half and half of two entrees. When you come, check in for extra garlic bread, I love it! I recommend their Drunken Chicken and Chicken Maque Choux! My friends also like their Chili Cheese with Crawfish. You can also ask to sample any of their dishes. They're all flavorful, bold, and delicious. They have an assortment of hot sauces you can try too. Staff is very friendly and they were accommodating! There's plenty of room inside for a small group, but parking can be limited with street parking and private parking. I recommend coming here for a bit for lunch, casual dinner, or if you're craving Cajun/Creole food. By the way, there's no WiFi here! There are plenty of other shops and businesses around this restaurant that you can walk around to, it's a pretty nice area.

Decided I was going to hit up a place that I had been to their Food Truck. I was met by Eric working the cash register. I ordered the Maque Choux and Red Beans and Rice with Smoked Sausage. I also ordered several bread servings. The red beans and sausage were flavored perfectly over the rice. Super flavorful. The Maque Choux was so creamy and delicious with the mixture of corn and chicken. Definitely to die for. The bread is so off the chart, filled with flavor. I could eat a whole loaf in a heartbeat. Also had time to talk with Collin who works in the kitchen. But the person who exudes the meaning of hospitality was Abbey the owners daughter who runs prep and the front of the house. I had met her several years ago when she was working with her dad (Jason) on the Food Truck. If you want to taste some flavorful food, you need to check out Yats in Grandview. You won’t be disappointed!!

Oof! This was stop on the grandview food tour. While I can respect wanting to bring Cajun food to the area this is not how to do it. My boyfriends family is from Gretna,LA (not too far from New Orleans) so I’ve been immersed into the cultural food for a while now and this did not do it Justice. The consistency was thick like refried beans. Just wrong. They beignet was soggy. If you’ve ever been to cafe dumonde in New Orleans you will be very disappointed in this one as it does not come close. The man giving the spiel even stated The food isn’t made here, it’s made in bulk out of state and frozen then shipped in.

I'm actually a little bummed they didn't have shrimp and grits. Isn't that a top Cajun dish? Or is that just a thing in New Orleans? All they had were things to put over white rice. I got the red beans and sausage. The food was fine, though it could have had a lot more spice. Adding red hot didn't seem to help much. I'll be back a second time. Maybe they'll have a more varied menu. I really liked the design of the place and how open and refreshing it felt. The communal rows are nice. And service was good as the owner/ chef was genuinely interested if I liked the food.

Raised in Louisiana, moved to California, went to Columbus on vacation. What a surprise to find some of the most authentic Cajun food since Louisiana. Nothing fancy for sure, but definitely reminds me of a good home-cooked dinner in Louisiana. Got a chance to talk to the owner of this location, and just in southern hospitality fashion got to know a little backstory about him and his family and the restaurant. Was kind of a nice treat. Hopefully, next time I get a chance to visit, they’ll have some shrimp and grits, and then I would surely pack up and move to Ohio!
