I have been a customer of Concord Produce for Almost 15 years. I Have always been impressed by their Produce selection they Offer. We always visit Costco and then CP for our Grocery shopping. Lately my Bills are quite Expensive and I attributed to us buying more due to Reducing Shopping Trips. After my last visit when I checked the Bill, I saw an Entry for 2 bunches of Cilatro for $18 ( Picture attached).I thought it might have been a Honest Mistake by the Cashier, So I looked up the Concord Produce Phone Number from Google and Called it. Nobody Picked up. I did try few times the next morning but it never was answered and there is no way to leave a voiceMail. One my Next grocery trip( which was a month Later) - I took the Bill to the Cashier and showed her the mistake. She Said it is not store policy to make Returns after 1month. I understand if that is a policy if I was returning a Item. What I was showing them as a clear Mistake they did with their Billing. To My Surprise the Store assistant was very Rude and did not acknowledge the Mistake and even did not offer to Fix the Issue. I am not sure if the management has changed recently or not but this is not what I expected from them. They basically did not care about the issue and asked me to get off the store. They just LOST a loyal customer and I will not be visiting that store anymore. Down the road Food Max has most of the same things that they sell here... I suggest for all shoppers at the store to check their Bills carefully before they leave the store - as you might have noticed most the billing is...
Read moreAwesome place for fresh vegetables, fruit and there is an extremely good fish market hidden in the back.
One of my better reasons to pay the $7 bridge toll to shop, I easily save that much by buying my produce there.
Outside has the best prices in the bay area, at least that's what I think, all of the best bargains can be found there.
The fish market in the back is well stocked with many kinds of ocean fish and some fresh water fish that I don't usually buy, there prices are very reasonable, mostly.
I always pick up the lane snapper that is often priced around $4.50 per lb, maybe more now. The guy there told me that their market price is still the same but the shipping costs have skyrocketed.
In any case, I would eat any fish from that market, though I tend to avoid tilapia and freshwater fish based on my personal tastes.
Lots of parking, great prices, friendly helpful staff and good management.
You can even get barrels of over ripe fruits and veggies to feed your pigs, sheep or goats etc.
I always shop there before paying way too much across the...
Read moreThey sell cheap produce but that produce is itself is also CHEAP. Their produce is many times already gone bad rotten, has mildew and fungus when its up for sale, they are trying to cheat the people during bad times and make money by selling cheap and bad produce. I would never buy anything from their meat mkt because who knows! The other the whole bag of cucumbers were all bad within just 24 hrs of purchase they went all sticky, slimy. The cauliflower had mold inside, Another day the upo was rotten and eggplant all good outside inside all rotten. So much going to trash. No more concord produce for me.
Their cashiers are rude and lack courtesy. They also charge incorrectly and higher price than what's displayed unless you check the receipt which doesn't say items very clearly, then you go and stand in line again and point it out to them for which they aren't sorry or anything, you got to bring your produce back which they measure again and check and rudely just issue a refund. The place is small and over-crowded and parking sucks, just like...
