Way overpriced for what you get. Also, they don't give refunds which makes sense because they would be out of business.
Ball returns stick constantly. Waited 15 minutes to changes lanes after waiting 5 minutes on ball return and lane reset. Waited another 5 minutes at our new lane for the ball to be returned.
My brother had the holes on his new ball drilled earlier that morning. After a few passes through the ball return, his new ball had scrapes and dents all over it. Not like normal wear and tear.
Only one guy doing maintenance. Can't keep up with all the issues.
I wouldn't even give their food or drinks/bar a chance and feel sorry for anyone who has. Just looking over the counter makes you wonder if you'll get a food borne illness just from the air you're breathing. Coming from someone who went through culinary school and several servsafe courses, I don't know how they're still allowed to serve food. Honestly begging anyone who reads this not to eat their food.
Watched the kids on the lane next to me over hand toss their balls onto the lane many times, denting the gutters and the lane itself each time...while the "bartender/2nd maintenance" guy watched from the bar.
Some guy in a grey shirt was sitting in the office the entire time texting while multiple lanes were malfunctioning, leaving the 50s-esque maintenance guy to work/struggle alone.
Watched multiple employees watch a women shuffle down to the middle of her lane, almost falling, to retrieve her ball that was stuck in a dent. They did nothing.
Their "bumpers" are rickety and falling apart. They were up when we arrived and had asked the 50s-Esque maintenance guy how to put them down and he sarcastically replied, "real easy..." and proceeded to kick them down with his feet.
They don't sanitize their shoes and sell socks in a vending machine. They also let people Bowl barefoot....or didn't care enough to ask them to wear shoes.
The bathrooms will probably give you some type of disease. They smell and look like they haven't been cleaned since they opened.
The heat/ac system doesn't work, neither do the fans on the lanes.
The staff is not very personable and management is inept, non-existent and reluctant to resolve issues.
I, personally, left feeling just....germ-covered and very disturbed that the city of Conroe allows this place to run.
I would never subject children to this environment considering staff smokes behind the bar (servsafe violation) while children are in the lane right in front of them. (No qualms with smoking, just have an isolated area or have the decency to do it away from kids)
To be fair, the staff is most-likely intolerable due to the fact that they take the brunt of the piss-poor management that perpetuates their awful customer service. However, there really isn't any excuse for this run-down, pathetic "business." I don't usually write bad reviews because I've worked in the service industry but this...this...
Read moreOk, so this place is part of the kids bowl free thing. I took the kids I babysit. This place is a J-O-K-E! Only some of the lanes have bumpers available. Then only some of those lanes have WORKING bumpers. Then they put us on a lane that the score screen didn't work, so they had to make it "tournament style scoring" on the screen, so the kids could see their score. Obviously, little kids use a 6lb ball. Apparently, when the balls are too light, they get stuck in the ball return. Since they would only give us 1 ball per child (2 balls total), when they both get stuck you have to call for help. When I tried to get help, the "manager" was curt & seemed to be bothered by us being there. Seriously, lady - if you hate people, maybe a ghetto bowling alley is NOT the place to spend your time! They sent a guy to fix it 3x. That wasn't the worst of it. After about 20 minutes of playing, the pins would stick or something & the roll would have to be reset. I don't normally go bowling, so I didn't know that I could just push a button to reset it myself. The manager talked to me like a retard who didn't speak English & had been told many times. All she would have had to do was explain that I could push the button. I did that the next few times that the pins were stuck. After we had been there almost an hour, it stuck & I couldn't fix it. I should have known better than to expect them to be nice about it. The manager starts telling me that the kids should use heavier balls. Ok, seriously, you expect 5/6/7 year old kids to use a heavier ball? Ultimately we left without finishing the two games the kids were supposed to get. I may not understand bowling, but I understand that 2 kids playing a game where each player gets 10 turns means 20 turns & each turn means 2 rolls, which means 40 rolls. After being there nearly 2 hours, we had only finished one game. Because of the mechanical malfunction & the accusatory way the staff handled us, we simply didn't have time to play...
Read moreWent on 1/23/21 at about noon. My family of 5 got placed on lane 21 for an hour. We actually asked for a lane with bumpers but was told they didn’t have any available. So we kinda slightly irritated when 15 minutes into our game another family comes in and they set up a few lanes down from us and the workers came out with a hook and created bumpers on that lane. They machine that swipes the pins and ball was super slow eating up a lot of time between frames. We finished that game just in time and since a lot of people had left decided to ask for a bumper lane again and play for another hour. The cashier charged our CC for another hour and switched us to lane 4. That’s when it all went really bad. Lane 3 was occupied and we are looking at multiple bumper lanes open but somehow they decided this is where we should be. The people at lane 3 decided they had enough too right after we showed up and left in the middle of their game and they were obviously irritated as well. We started our game and Lane 4 machine would never put a leading pin out. It was also even slower to reset pins. It would also drop pins when it was picking up. Pins started falling out of the ceiling, the bowling balls got stuck and wouldn’t return a ball. Then the lane just shut itself off after 20 minutes. We decided to leave after that too and even after complaining multiple times to the cashier we got no explanation or offer to switch lanes even when we told her the lane shut off after paying for an hour and only getting 15-20 minutes. Obviously customer service is lacking, can’t say much for the equipment either. Sadly, I don’t think we will be back and will pay higher prices for better customer service and better equipment. 300 bowl is way more convenient for us but we just can’t if this is the way it is...
