I am giving this review 5 stars all because of Stephanie Shaw.
My wife and I decided to have our wedding party rent all their tuxedos from Men’s Warehouse since we have had good experiences with the company in the past. The tuxedos turned out great and it was a bonus to receive a $400-dollar shopping spree coupon.
On 8/5/17 we went into store #2504 in Scottsdale. When we first started shopping we were paired with Michael. (Unfortunately, did not get his last name). After he made a comment about the size of my thighs I knew this experience wasn’t going to end well. He made my wife and I very uncomfortable. When we finished picking products to use with the coupon, Michael began to ring us up. Michael seemed very uneducated on how the coupon was to be used. He seemed like a typical commission sales man once he found out he would not be making any money off this sale. He tried to play number games with us and it was very disrespectful. After he made comment about how I don’t understand how a BOGO sale works my wife and I were going to just walk out and forget about using the coupon and never spend another dime in a men’s warehouse.
This is when Stephanie Shaw came up to the register to take over for Michael. Stephanie was extremely nice, knowledgeable, and apologized for her coworker being extremely incompetent. She quickly dissolved the issue Michael was having with the coupon. Once ringing up the products she noticed that Michael was trying to sell us the wrong size pants (he couldn’t even get that right) so she quickly went to recover the right size. If it was not for Stephanie, Men’s warehouse was going to lose a customer all over a salesman trying to nickel and dime us. I cannot express how professional and helpful she was.
After spending nearly 30 minutes at the register, Reggie (the store general manager) came up front to apologize for the whole situation with Michael. He has always been very nice and professional when I have shopped at this store. He even remembered the pair of shoes he sold me a few months back and asked how I was liking them.
I highly recommend shopping at this store if you work with...
Read moreOn January 18th I went into this Men's Warehouse to pick up a rental tuxedo for my friends wedding. I was working with the manager of this location, STEPHANIE SHAW, gave her my name and she went back and brought out the tux. She told me the total and had swiped my card while the other lady, I'm assuming she was training, got the tux ready in the fitting room. When I went over to the fitting room, right off the bat, I noticed the tux was black instead of the grey which was the plan the whole time! I asked her why that suddenly had changed and all STEPHANIE could tell me was 'that's your tux". I finally looked at the rental receipt and noticed the name associated with the tux was not mine at all. Even though I told her my name before hand. So the tag was clearly not read.
After about another 15min STEPHANIE said 'the suit is ready, but not at this location'...mind you that's the same location I was fitted at. It finally took one of the gentlemen who works there to go in the back and produce my suit after looking all of 15 seconds. Clearly STEPHANIE hadn't looked in the magic bucket of hidden tuxedos.
This is where my major problem lies. STEPHANIE 'claimed' she refunded the mistake charge of $100.89 for the tux that belonged to someone else. But failed to give me a receipt for this return. 14 business days later I had still not received my refund. Upon visiting the store myself and speaking to STEPHANIE they were not able to pull up the transaction and therefore could NOT even confirm a refund was made. I showed STEPHANIE my banking app that shows the charge and even the exact time it was made (Jan 18th at 12:18pm). And there was nothing they do...they simply had no record of this mistake. So now I am forced to report this as a fraudulent charge by the Men's Warehouse to attempt a reimbursement.
I will NEVER do business again with this company and will do my best to deter my friends and family from using them as well because of...
Read moreWent to return a shirt that was too short after rude service at another store that falsely claimed the never worn shirt had armpit stains. This store had no issue with its appearance, validating that was a falsehood. However the old man working there was oddly combative. This is two MW stores now where the staff seem offended to take returns. Asking why it is being return in an angry way. He refused to believe it was too short and demanded to know where I bought it. He asked me to try it on so he could see. Can you imagine going to return clothing and being asked to try it on in store to prove it to them? That's wild. You have an easy returns policy. Dont harass customers. I told him I dont have dress pants on the fit would not be accurate and he asked to see it anyway. I said no I would like to return it. I asked if he had longer brands and he suggested I could wear a longer sleeve, which would be too long for me lol. Then he looked at a rack for a few seconds and then just gave up and decided apparently he had nothing in his entire store that would fit me and took me to the register. I am 6'2 btw not some giant. He rings it up and says "Here you go". No have a nice day, no thank you. After the bad experience at the other store I was looking forward to getting a good experience and saying thanks for doing it right and telling them they had restored my faith. But this guy also seemed to have a chip on his shoulder. The return doesnt come out of your paycheck guy and you lost far more in future business. Straighten up guys! This behavior is embarassing. MW should be ashamed and the manager of this store should talk to...
