I tore through the first pair within 7 months. I guess I needed something more rugged. The gentleman were very professional and helped me pick out the right boot for me. They also gave me a discount towards my new purchase which was much appreciated. Great customer service which is hard to come by these days.

Update, the second pair he recommended ended up needing the soul replaced within 5 months. I took it to the store and he suggested that I "go down the street and get a new tread sewed on" I replied no. I'd like this soul that came with the boot.

He said okay but I'll have to send it out to Red Wing and it'll take 2 months and it'll cost you $150. At this point what was I to do? I gave him my boots and I had to go buy another pair. This time I went to a different location in Nottingham. They told me he should not have charged me for the bottom and that they have a 1-year guarantee. Obviously this guy runs his store the way he wants to run his store. The way I see it is I bought two boots from him and that was two too many. From here on out I will be dealing with Red Wing Nottingham I do not recommend this store. The guy is shady. He blamed it on me and told me I should have bought a more rugged boot. This was my issue with the first pair of boots I bought and he recommended these boots. So for me to buy a more rugged boot I don't think they sell a more rugged boot. I got the most rugged boot. They had paid almost $400 for it and it didn't hold up 6 months let alone a year. I initially gave this store five stars, but after the second go around and the terrible customer service, I do not recommend this store to anyone. Stay away from it. I’m a carpenter, working inside and outside all year. For years I wore timberlands and went through 2 pairs a year and that was pushing it. A little over 3 years ago I decided to try redwing boots and have never looked back. My first pair lasted up until a few weeks ago (well over 2 years), and I did not take care of them at all. All in all redwing boots are amazing and I’m a customer for life. That said, redwing could make some of the worst boots on the market and I would still buy them from this store. The customer service is remarkable. I take a lot of pride in my work and used to expect it when dealing with others in their business but over time I had all but completely given up on that expectation. This is easily the best Red Wing store I’ve ever been to. The customer service is impeccable and way outstanding. They are very nice and helpful and really care about giving you the best experience. While also helping you find the best products for you. Their boots are the best boots I’ve owned, these are my work boots that I’ve owned for 2 years and still look great and are super comfortable. I work in maintenance and these boots have never failed me, and also are my snow boots. They are also their cheapest option they have and are still the best of the best.
