Michaels — Local services in Conway

I have never been disappointed with Michaels in Conway, NH. The store is always clean and the shelves are stocked and presentable. The product placement seems structured and organized as well as labeled and everything is usually in its assign spots. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable. They will go above and beyond to help you find what you need if required. Online purchasing and in-store pickup is fast, quick, and efficient. The only areas which I found slightly disappointing this time was the statement that the item I purchased was limited and there was only one left. I had to go into the store to pick up a couple items that I had missed on my order and discovered that the item that was supposedly limited was overflowing on the shelf I miss more than that I counted. After I left and went back on to the website, and it reported the same limited with one left. The other area that I was a little concerned with was the employee who was cleaning the floors. He was not rude or anyting however I found it a little disconcerting that he was staring at me and following me throughout the aisles to continue to do so. I recently visited the North Conway Michaels and worked with Richard and the store manager, Shaun/Sean/Shawn (not sure on spelling). They spent significant time with me and my husband working out how to proceed with a very challenging framing project. They went significantly above and beyond to help us think through various options, even when they knew the project might end up being too expensive for us to pursue at this time. When we do decide to move forward with our project, we will definitely drive out of our way to get the project done at this particular Michaels with Richard. I cannot say enough good things about the staff at this store. My parents live in the area and shop here frequently. Richard framed several pieces for my father and one for my husband. He was detail oriented, professional and cheerful. The work done was excellent both my father and husband loved how everything turned out. The rest of the staff is just as friendly and helpful. Kind of disappointed. Nobody sells water based acrylic clear coat. Office Market used to carry it but unfortunately great stores like that have since closed due to big ugly crappy stores that don't ever have what you want. I searched for an hour looking for something usable but no luck. A woman in the same aisle I was in made a comment that she would probably be there all day looking for one bottle of paint. Too many holes on the shelves, you'd think they would be fully stocked on opening day. Also, a very tiny section for diorama items, not even any S scale figures which other Michaels stores do carry.
