L.L.Bean — Local services in Conway

They had some good prices. But they do not trust their costumers at all. You can't even try shoes on comfortably. They're zip tied together, and have theft protection on it in places that don't make any sense (like where your leg should go, or where you need to tie the shoe) making in impossible to try. I took a pair I really like to the cashier and asked if she can take it out so I could try it. She took the theft alarm (not sure what they're called) put, and put it in a better place (I had to suggest it) and said she's not allowed to take the zip tie out, and that I have to try it in front of her. I had to try the shoes on when tied together, couldn't walk or move, and couldn't even go to look in the mirror. It was pretty humiliating, and I just gave her the shoes back and left. The most ironic part was, they have a saying in big letters on the wall, from the founder, saying something about treat your costumers like human beings. Will definitely not...

I have bought several items from this store over the last few years. All items are still in great condition and were worth the marked down price. The staff is always pleasant. If you take the time and look around you can find some pretty nice things for the price. The bean down jacket with cordura fabric I purchased 4 years ago is one of my favorite items I own. I purchased a synthetic down comforter 4 years ago that I still have and is in great shape. I even found a cover for it last month that fit it perfectly. I had to wait several years to find one. Instead of buying it full price online I waited and stopped by the store occasionally until I found one discounted. Great set known, several awesome jackets, several great pairs of shoes etc. All items worth...

Although we didn’t buy anything here today, we have purchased many sports and clothing items for our family over the years. This is a must stop when you’re in the North Conway area. The store is clean, well-organized, and is a great store place to find quality reduced price L.L. Bean products. Two years ago we bought two 12-foot kayaks here. One was substantially reduced because of a minor scratch. We wanted 2 kayaks and the store manager matched the price for an unblemished kayak - - great deal. We applied for an LL Bean credit card and was instantly approved, and with the LL Bean coupon dollars we were able to purchase life vests, paddles and other misc. gear for no extra cost.
